hey folks!

i recently got some universal aircraft style 3 point shoulder belts for my 1973 scamp. Lower portions are installed, however I cannot for the life of me figure out what bolt size or how to mount the upper portion to the pilar. 7/16" bolt is too big for the factory hole, and 3/8" too small. I've also tried all the metric stuff too… Also how does it work with the housing pushing against the cardboard headliner? Does anyone have any pics of theirs?

thanks!

Its 7/16" fine. The factory bolts may be slightly tapered. I've never seen any other size. Maybe run a thread cleaning tap through it?

7/16" fine is really tight, only turns one small turn by hand then needs major torqueing from a wrench, crank them in? will it weaken the seatbelt bolt setup?

what length bolt?

Where can one find these special seatbelt bolts?

(Tony I sent you an email on them, if you can send me a pic of that 8.25 rear end I mignt want to come pick that up)
