We’ll maybe not hell, but not the best trip for sure.

I thought the wife and I needed a little break from reality so I booked us a few days in Vegas. Plan was just hang on the strip, see the free stuff, see a show, eat some good food.

Flew into Vegas Monday evening, coming home Thursday evening.
So Monday before we left home I started having stomach cramps and making quick trips to the bathroom. The airport and the flight were pretty miserable for me. After checking in to the room at 8pm I went strati bed,no supper. Tuesday was only slightly better, still felt like crap but still managed to go to a show. I liked it, wife not so much. Wednesday I was pretty good, we had some fun, then tried to use a 2 for 1 show coupon to get tickets for that night. Coupon was only good at the box office. Box office price is almost double what the online price was, so would have been more than the price of two tickets if I’d bought them ahead of time online with no coupon. We decided to blow it off.
No Show For You!
Did some sightseeing, then went to the buffet at the Luxor. My 2 for 1 actually worked there. All the food looked great but tasted like crap, or like nothing. And then my wife was up 3 or 4 times during the night puking her guts up. So now she feels like crap and can’t do anything. Were supposed to check out at 11am, but now paying an extra $30 so we can stay in the room till 3pm, at which time we’ll go straight to the airport.
We’re both exhausted and we didn’t even do much.

Vegas was a lot better went the Mob ran it....then the feds and corporate america ruined it....LOL

Guess we got lucky on our two trips to vegas.
Sorry you had a bad experience.
Note to self- be carful when choosing places to eat...

My best friend in the Army sent me an invitation to his Vegas wedding which I luckily received right after deployment, but had spent my money before receiving the invitation preparing to fly home to SA TX. I had little money to spend in Vegas as a 20 something-which was a tremendous blessing. I ate Mcdonalds for cheap food. Not much better than Navy food, but it is consistent, and I don't get sick.

It looks like buffet's and cheap food is not the way to go.

No rain except for a light sprinkle on the way to the airport.
Was pretty damn chilly though. High temperatures of like 50, most of the time in the 40’s.
Last year we went the week after thanksgiving and it was mid to upper 60’s
Guess going a couple weeks later can make a difference.

We hit mickeydees quite often too, for one it was close, and cheap.
We were up at 5:00 am every morning so it was quiet there, and coffee wasnt $9.00 a cup.

Sorry to hear your troubles.

Way back when, I went to a dinner show called "Hello, Hollywood, Hello" at MGM Reno with a girl who found a hair in her salad. Later we read in the newspaper the casino was busted for "recycling drinks" although i never could understand the logistics of doing something like that.

P.S. Edit
Met a lady friend of mine from Thailand (halfway: Los Angeles/El Paso) in Los Vegas one week for Christmas. Only problem that trip was that the shows shut down for a period of two weeks in December and we did not realize that ahead of time.

My first trip to Vegas was in 2000 for the Nascar race. We let our friend's wife book the trip because she had a "travel agent" friend that she used. When we told the cab driver where we were staying he laughed and said that they had lost their gaming license. WTH?!?! When we were checking in you could see that the whole casino floor was dark. Turns out they had lost their liquor license also, so we had to buy our booze at the convenience store next door (which ended up being a good thing). Good thing we were half a block off of the strip so we could walk to someplace to drink and gamble.

October 1 2017 my daughter went from watching a country concert, to dodging bullets. Hopped over the fence and hid under the stage. Scared and alone, thank the Lord above, she made it out alive. We ended up losing 2 of our friends. Doesn't get much worse than that. Just saying.

The daughter of a lady friend of mine lives in Vegas and was at that music festival. She and her group were tired from the days activities and decided to leave before that came about.
