-
i will put my money in on friday or saturday this week im in for 20 sorry i cant do more mike but i just had a baby i want to see a picture of you and the car as soon as you get one. By the way which car are we going after guys i think that really needs to be nailed down. Justin

I have more then most and I would be very uncomfortable taking this car.
I have been taking care of myself my hole life and it is hard for me to receive
I hope yall understand, my emotions are getting the best of me right know,
not sure if I should post this info or not.
But I feel like some of yall should know.

I will be back shortly Mike.

Mike,
What you have to understand is that most people, these days, don't have a "good" way to help other people. We have become so isolated that we don't know our neighbors. At least those of us in the big city don't.
So this is a way for us to feel positive about something we can do in that regard.
Again, it helps us as much as it helps you.
So don't feel uncomfortable. That's what makes life worth living.
And if that doesn't work for ya, just look at it this way:
We are saving another A-body by finding it a good home. Yes.
In this economy every A-body counts even more.
(I like grumpuscreatures idea of a backup. Blind people amaze me with their courage. If I was blind I coudn't get out of the effing front door.)

I will make a donation as soon as I can get home to a secure computer.

Ya' know.....don't know any of you or memike from Adam........no pun intended.....lol

I have only been a member since March '08, but love this site and have felt welcomed by most FABO members. Such a wide variety of people in different states and countries with a common goal.....fixing up the Mopar, sharing ideas, personal experiences, and sometimes heartfelt emotions..... both good & bad.....

I have read the entire thread of memike's experience with the evil people :evil4: over the course of my short time here. Couldn't believe some of the crap that was happening to him over that car. Just wanted to jump thru the computer and give a few of those unscrupulous SOB's a piece of my mind..... :argue:.

I have seen so many threads that memike has responded to and always with a :rock: or a :cheers:. A pleasure to read and ponder......

Anyway,,,,,to make a long story short. I'm in for a few $$.

Thanks memike and to FABO......................absolutely FABOlous site.

I put the wife onto the original post of the saga of the 63 then took her to this post and like i thought she got a little teary eyed. She didn't know who Small Block was. I ask her if she'd like to go to St Louis with me sat morning. She said "Is that you". I smiled and said yes. She's in and ready to go. Just got off the phone with Ken and MeMike and the 66 out of St Louis is a go. I'll pick up Mike and Treva at 8 A.M. sat morning at the convocation center at the University of Ark and head north. We'll be there by noon and then pay Ray, do some pics and head south and should be home by 4 P.M. Mike said something about a TV station being there when we come back into Jonesboro and give FABO a little air time. Expect a bunch of new members from Northeast Arkansas. I can't wait. I'll call KYTV out of Springfield and see if they want a heart felt story. Sorta makes ya feel good.

Does the car need anything else?Haven't got alot of cash ATM but would like to help I am on your way there and back?

A Canadian! Only a Canadian! Not taking anything away from Grumpuscreature and your idea got planted with all FABO FOLKS. Wonderful You!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You know this was probably thought about but never mentioned until you!!!
Canada I love you all! Great to have you next door.
Best Regards!

MeMike ... This is amazing! Great people!

If Mike want's to convert to a V8, I will supply the correct early a-body centerlink.

There's that old saying "Many hands make light work" meaning my little contribution is nothing but a spot in the pan, but everyone's put together can fill the pan and make a jolly good breakfast! :-) I'm glad I'm able to contribute to this unique "Big Give".

It was Grumpuscreature that first suggested this idea, my hats off to him!
Don't blame me for thinking out loud. Ya'll are the ones who DID it. May God bless each and every one of you. :thumblef: :thumbrig:

Grumpuscreature and His wife Ecptshnl1 called and I had the joy to talk to both of them,:love7: They are some very strong willed people that I have
so much admiration for, Some fun and happy folks for sure. There are so many people I got to talk to from all over the world today,
I am still on a cloud :love7:and have so many people to thank.
My family at brother kens house are at aw at the people that talked to me there and had so much to say about me.
And when my older son jumped in it took me out again.:love7:
I am so sleepy, and wore out from all that has happen to me today.
Bless you all and all the kind folks here, I will be back after I fall a sleep and wake up to make sure this is real.
I will make you all proud here at FABO, but know I am about to drop.:sleepy2:

We all know what you'll be dreamin about tonight. Doubt you'll get a good night's rest, but you'll wake up with a smile anyway.

Ray Harrison and talked to him about his car in St Louis. Sounds like what we want for MeMike. I told him of our goal and gave him the website so he could verify our endeavors. I discussed price and he said he would let it go for $2200 and it's a drive it home car. The guy came off his price $400. I can pick MeMike up on sat morning and go get it. I'll pay for it for now and when all the money is in we can settle up. Gather your money up Ken. You doin anything saturday MeMike?

Sweet it looked like a very nice car in the pics, ive over looked it a few times on craigslist. Def the perfect car for Memike thats why I thought I would post it up. Very decent price. Good luck with this car.

I just threw in another $50. This is a great idea. I'm glad to be a part of it.
Eric

The total is climbing, I would like to suggest that should there be any extra money it goes to Mike to help with parts/repairs, etc. 8)

Just to answer you question 65s,It has all I am looking for and my son can do a great paint job on it. I do appreciate your good intentions 65s and all the great members here.

Sid! can you help the folks here understand why I feel the way I do.
Sid and I have had some good shrink sections a year or two ago.:read2::profilel:

Mike, i think the folks here already know EXACTLY how you feel about all this. I was on the road most of the day yesterday and didn't get home until 11 Pm last night, and didn't turn on the computer then. When I logged in this morning, I was pleasantly surprised to see just how fast this little freight train is moving.

Folks, I've never personally met Mike, but we've had some great PM chats ever since he joined FABO. If it's possible to have an internet best friend, then Mike is definitely mine. :) He is one of the most down to earth people I have ever had the good fortune to correspond with, and if anyone is deserving of this type of honor, then Mike is the man.
I've spewed out more coffee on my keyboard than I care to remember since Mike joined this site. He has the sense of humor and the honesty to make you laugh or cry a couple of times with each of his posts. The situation with the Valiant that was basically stolen from him, left him a little bitter and disillusioned with the world, and I think this is the type of gesture that will bring him back from that and restore his faith in human nature.
I've frequented a lot of internet sites in my day, but nothing comes even close to the companionship and genuine caring nature of the folks at FABO. You should all give yourselves a great big pat on the back. And count me in for $50.00.

Mike, check your pride at the door, and instead of always giving, rejoice in the fact that it's also acceptable to receive sometimes. All the best to you buddy, you deserve it. :toothy10:

If ya'll end up getting him a 63 valiant Iv'e got some pretty sweet parts for it,I'll donate a few to help the cause,I also need the adress where and to whom to write a check, things are tight but I can scrape a few up for the cause, you guy's on here are awesome with helping out others My hat's off to all of you.so someone send me the address and a parts needed list when the car gets there, let's call foose over at ovehaulin!!!!

Showed my wife whats happening last night and she got teary eyed. Told me I better donate too. I had already promised my donation! Donation sent! What a great cause! Good Luck Mike!

Good morning everyone.:coffee2:
Sorry I could not keep up with everyone last night.:color:
first thing I want to do is thank redfastback.:love7:
Your wagon is a very very nice valiant.
I was out of my mind yesterday by all that is going on and could not
see the key boards or settle myself down to thank you.:crybaby:
Brother Ken told me when you offered the wagon I was knocked of my feet.
I had to walk outside and look at the stares and get my feeling under control.
Thank you for your offer redfastback :happy10:

Mike, don't forget your standing invitation for that beach BBQ out here in CA. ;-)

If they come out this way he can have my rebuilt pushbutton trans and 225 if needed or any other parts from the car if I still have it

I want to help MeMike out (cause he ROCKS!:rock:), but I'm getting braces put on my boy (no $$$). I do, however, have a couple of Valiant grilles for sale here:
http://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/showthread.php?t=37883

I'd be willing to give the proceeds of the sale of one of these towards MeMike's well-deserved Valiant. If I get confirmation that you put $100 in the fund (and a few bucks for shipping), I'll send the grille out to ya.

MUCH respect and admiration to all who are putting this together for MeMike!

GTXperience!! Yep !! I will always keep that on my things to do.
You have made me feel at your home a few times and I hope that I can make it to you door step and ring your door bell and say Where is the man of the house at.
I have family in Norwalk and Bellgarden's area I have not seen in 35 years.

I would like to thank you personally on day, and the way my life is turning around it sure could happen.:love7:
