If you look at the other thread, Hawk has pitched in $500 and we've met the goal it looks like!
 
MeMike ask that all the extra on the car fund go to Marvin to assist on his ailment. That's Mike for ya. Keep on hammerin guys and gals. Both are great causes.
 
My mind has been very shocked and I had the day to absorb all of this.
Typing in my feelings of the unreal things that has happened to me in the last four days, Yep 4 days!! some of you know I enjoy playing music and was invited to a band Friday night.Its been 5 years for me to play the drums for a bad. Its in general discussion "I got the call"
then I no more got up from bed the next day and seen what yall here at FABO are doing for me!! All of the thing's that have been missing in my life hit me with in 40 hour's. :love7: how can something like this happen to anybody.
The lead man drove to my house this morning and unloaded a set of pear exports to work out on and list of song's and cd's of there music.
Yesterday I spent 2 hours at the brick house with a friend here where he bought me pizza and cold mugs of beer and congratulated me on such a great thing and got me to take it easy boy and settled down.8)
This will be a For A-Bodies only 66 valiant with more than just a sticker on it.
And I will try and get a photo out to everyone here with me and the 66 valiant with a special thank you from me and my family.
I am sorry I have not kept up with all the post's
I hope yall can understand my emotion and concentration are almost back to par, so I will get off the cold one's do all I can to return the great thing yall have dun for me.

And you can count on a pile of pictures as Small Block ,His wife and treva make the trip to get Victoria home. She will be in good hand's here and I will be so proud to show my face again and see some friends at the car club I was with 5 years ago.

I remember when you offered me parts for the Ramcharger. Not just parts you had laying around, but you knew of one being scrapped and asked if I needed anything off it. I let you know what I needed and you spent your own valuble time pulling these parts off at your son's shop. Once you had them, you only asked for the price of shipping, nothing more.

I was shocked. You didn't know me from hill of beans at the time. I just couldn't believe that someone would do this for me out of the blue. Well guess what! Your act of kindness and selflessness to me and others (I'm sure some other people have some good stories about you!) has just been paid back in spades.

I would imagine that you feel as I did that day when you offered me these parts for basically nothing (only times a hundred, lol!) I told just about everyone I knew about this really cool guy in Arkansas who offered his help and time for nothing to me. Shortly after that, I was working on the RC in the garage and here comes some guys in a big Dodge Dually 3500 down the alley and stop. First thing I do is walk toward my axe hanging onthe garage wall (You'd have to know the neighborhood I lived in, lol!). Well, it turns out they just wanted to BS about Ramchargers. It seems the guy was parting one out and asked if needed anything (sound familiar, lol!). I said "yeah, you got a passenger side steering knuckle?". A week later it was stashed behind the garage! WTF!

Good things happen to good people, Mike. Just go with the flow, lol! And for what you've done for me, here's a beer for you right out of my personal stash:

I know a lame *** pic of a nice frothy beer in a Snap-on glass is not the same as donating to your cause, but it's all I can offer at this time.
I wish so badly that I could have chipped in on this, as Lord knows you deserve it, but unfortunately, my luck has changed and I'm stuck with a huge mortgage due to plans falling through with my fiance' and I'm in this weird state of financial and emotional limbo and I apologize for that, but I'm sure things will change for the better in time. Please feel free to PM me with anything you may need and I'll be sure to make it happen. :)

I'm sure we all want to see pics and or movies of you and your family with this car. Please don't disapoint us, lol!

It still has a hold on me, but it is getting allot better know.

Spoke with Ray this evening and the car is ready to roll. He had guys coming up to look at the car but he told them it was our car so don't waste your gas. He explained the post site to him and he didn't have any hard feelings. Rays a good dude. No money to hold the car. I must have used my honest voice. Also spoke with Mike, and Ken is bringing Mike and Treava up Friday afternoon and they will spend the night here at the house here in West Plains and we'll leave from here. Mike didn't want it to be troublesome for me. Imagine that coming from MeMike. I'll show him around and let him take some pics for you guys and then to dinner, on me, and then an early start to St Louis. This is gona be one great weekend. Wish you were here. For ya'lls benefit we are goin to burn that camera up. Mike, drive safe.

I did not get to see the car, the Craig's Listing has been removed. When MeMike has had a chance to assess what he will need to do with it, We can all make available any parts he needs and contribute until he gets it all the way he wants. I will donate as I have ALWAYS been proud to be a FABO member. I have bought-sold-traded numerous times with absolute trust and have never been disappointed. I can say we are a great bunch of folks! Y'all need to start a thread that will chronicle the progress! Thanks to all! David
 
This is just absolutely amazing! To see all these people come together to help someone out like this makes me shead a tear. You should all be proud of yourselves! Congrats MeMike!!

i JUST SENT MY little part for the cause. Youre gonna need help with that 4 buck a gallon gas. So when you fill her up think daredevil bought me this tank .Hope you have a lot of good times with your new baby. But if mine goes to Marvin thats a good thing too. Whichever I know im helping a real class guy.
