What Are You Doing To/With Your Car Today?

It’s finally getting nice here in Mn. Had to clean up the garage a bit. Fired up the duster and let it soak up some sun in the driveway.

The contractor I work for doesn't have any work right now, so I'm on a much needed vacation while they decide whether or not I'm getting laid off.
So... I went ahead and installed crackedback's headlight relay kit today! Wow! I wish I had pics to post, but I didn't take any "before" pictures to go with the "after".
I highly recommend this! It's well worth the money, and very easy to install.

I did stuff! Here's some Saturday pics. Started me some dash stuff. Waiting for the bezel, should be here Wednesday. Then I can really get going on it. I need to Align glovebox door, align retrosound radio, gauges, wiring, etc.

Still Sunday. Cutting, mocking and fitting ratchet shifter and leaving enough for the factory shifter, if I ever want to run it again.

Still need to drill and nutsert, finish cleaning up the metal and mix up some liner to touch up the floor.

Finished installing a B&M Supercooler. The little sissy tube & fin unit I had in there wasn't doing the job. Hopefully, this piece will.

Monday I made a fake battery. It will house an EFI ECU, lithium battery, CDI, Solid State relays, and some busbars.

Rear bilsteins installed. E-brake lines hooked up. Ordered a completely new driveshaft from Inland empire driveline. Should be here by Friday. Heater hoses installed. Couldn’t get the Corbin clamp to go over the lower water pump outlet. Errrr. Not completely satisfied but used a worm gear hose clamp with the heat shrink tubing trick over the band. Might start on the Hellwig sway bar later.

Finally got the parking light lenses in and refinished the grill. Found some nice black led headlights. Uses a lot less power than the original ones.

Got the car all back together and put insurance on it for the next 7 months. Checked out the new B&M Supercooler on the first couple of burns of the season - so far looks like a 30-40 degree drop in Tranny temp from the crummy little tube and fin unit I ran in it last year.

Also got some *** time in my freshly re-upholstered bench seat. Had been using seat covers over the original, totally thrashed skins up to now. Huge difference with all the padding restored!

I have a freshly powder coated 8 3/4 housing and this little bit of other stuff to install! Not pictured here is a 750 Holley to replace my 670. I'm going to have a great weekend in the garage!

It’s like seeing the first guy out ice fishing. You want to be out fishing but you don’t dare.
Not when you dive a rusty pile of crap hahahahaha.

Going to try to finish up my Borgeson box upgrade today. It's already bolted in and lines hooked up, just need to bolt on my new moog pitman arm, reinstall the steering column, reinstall headers, etc, etc, etc. Looks like lots of room around it, but that's without the headers, and steering column, etc.

Also doing some cleanup on the Roadrunner. The bumpers are green with oxidation and full of small rust spots. Got a big can of elbow grease, some of Priests “British Steel” and a little something in the glass to help this job along.
