What do yall do with your charcoal cans?

Crap for the **** can. AKA trash can. IMO. WTH wants smog crap on there Mopars? No way makes car run better. IMO.

1974 SSP, about 3800lbs, 400 4bbl. 509 cam, 4.56's, big stall, auto, 11.4x's cause it was back in 97. BUT if you don't believe me, there's plenty of guys running FAST & PURE stock that are much faster. WAAAAAY faster.

YES,and the F.A.S.T. cars running stroker cranks, hugh cams, hog out intakes, ported to the max heads thousands of dollars in tweaking the carbs.fully rollerized transmission..FAR FAR from any factory..the pure stocks AIN'T pure stock either...nice try!!

Stock exterior parts though. BOTH classes. NO strokers in pure stock. THAT SAID.. if you think you can't run 11's on mostly stock parts your in the wrong game son.

It is unbelievable how angry some people can be.

But back on topic... can the charcoal can be put at a slight angle?

yes. It's just an odd-shaped ugly black plastic can, filled with charcoal. They work best, bottom down, and protected from water-splash.But I cannot imagine up to 45* being a problem.Maybe even 90*. It just becomes harder to protect them from water and dirt. There is a big old filter on the bottom. During the purge process, the carb is drawing air through it.

I have that same radiator, 318. lol. I am not sure why rusty of all folks was set off from actually innocent adjectives. I am glad to see there is enough room in the corner. I am planning on running cold air ducting through the grill, so i will still need to move the can. But after reading through slant6's post I am fairly certain I will keep it. Now I just need to rebuild or replace my can.
Thanks again

Well, if that's the reason for moving it; fresh air trumps everything. ev-ree-ting.
If it was me And: this was a low miles per year car,and ,I was not required by law to keep it, I think I would ditch that heavy turd. I briefly thought about mounting it at the back, where it's weight might might be useful, but on further ponderance, I abandoned the idea.If you ditch it, you will have to vent the tank elsewhere. And indoor storage is a thing of the past

Why no indoor storage?

I have made the decision to move it and keep it for now, but the new placement will have to have some angle.
