My left signal don't work anymore. I have to do it by hand.
What might that be, and is it a easy fix?

Also, my dome light don't work. Any ideas what that is? The bulb seems fine.
Does that have it's own fuse.

What do you use to clean contacts? I had a couple of lights that didn't work, so I was messing with them today. I got them all to work (for the most part), but I had to do some twisting of the bulbs to stay on. I take it that is because the connections are dirty.

Is there a solution to clean these?

Thanks!

The right side, makes a clicking sound when turned on, and it flashes. The left side does nothing unless it's done manually. The lights themselves work if done manually.

Where is this flasher to have it replaced?

The dome light don't go on when the door is open either. Is that still related to the headlight switch?

Thanks!

I cannot remember off the top of my head, but it seems to me that if a front or rear bulb is out (I cannot remember which) they would not flash. Turn on your hazards and see which bulb it is, and troubleshoot from there.

the dome light... you are going to need a multimeter to track that down.

Cleaning contacts? I always have the battery disconnected, and use some steel wool, long flat blade screw driver, and some electrical contact cleaner.

Wiring is difficult for me too.....Just wondering, does your dome light work if you turn the headlight/dimmer switch clockwise all the way? If it does, maybe the problem is with the door switch

No, the Dome light don't work at all. The bulb "looks" fine. I guess I could try a different one.

None of the bulbs are out, I just fixed them all. (Other than the dome light.)

It's just odd, when I'd turn the bulbs all the way in where they should be, they don't work. If I keep them a bit offset, then they stay on! Goofy!
I guess that just shows how dirty they are, huh?

your turn signal goes on but doesent click? on my last dart my dad showed me something pretty cool. I had the same issue so he said take the little flasher boxes and switch them with eachother. I thought thats not guna work! but i did it and for some reason they worked when i switched sides! i kid you not. but yeah thats worth a shot since it wont cost you anything :P

There is a plastic thing in side the stering colum. When you turn the signal on then turn the wheel it catches some thing in side there. Then when you turn the wheel back it tuches some thing else and springs back turning your signal off automaticly. There is a catch on each side, one for the left signal and one for the right. It sounds like the one that does the left side is broke off. It is just plastic. You need to take your wheel off and get in side wour stering colum to fix it.

he means they don't blink, not that they do not turn off/cancel

Agreed. Also, check your grounds.

Just got done trouble shooting the same problem on our 69 Valiant. Ended up being the ground at the light socket. There should be a "spade tab" on the socket that you can put a ground wire on, ground the other end to the radiator core support and see what happens.

Are you sure. He said they work if done manualy.

You're right, that cam also holds the lever in place.

I suppose we need to find out, if the lever clicks into place for both sides. If it doesn't then he needs the cam, if it does he needs to trouble shoot flasher, and wires.
