I just want to get my '68 Barracuda on the road. Need to get exhaust on it, rebuild front end, and the disc swap and rear brake line done.

When I painted my car 5 1/2 years ago, I didn't do a good enough job masking off my rear undercarriage. As good as the car looks from most angles, the rear axle housing, gas tank and leaf springs have some primer overspray on them. I plan to pull them all out, paint the tank with Eastwood Tank Tone paint and then powder coat the axle housing and leaf springs. It will be a job, but well worth it.

Doh! I forgot I need to swap out the windshield as well. It's got a crack that I know is just going to get worse.

Put on the thermoquad intake and carb, mopar performance valve covers, twin hood scoops, hood pins, go wing, install floor shifter and console, convert column to floor shift column, put tuff wheel on, put in nice taillights I traded for, put on side stripes and decals, paint stripes on hood, thank goodness I have all the stuff, now I just need to light a fire under my hind end. But after hitting a deer in my challenger which is my daily driver, I have it to deal with, so now I'm collecting parts to fix it.

Do you have an overdrive or just want a stoplight terror with 4.10's? I ask cuz I just went to 3.91's and want to know how they will do in my semi daily driver dart sport.

Step 2: Burn rubber in the 7.25 till it snaps (unless someone seems interested at that time to buy it)
Step 3: Swap in new rear end, slap on some new rubber
Step 4: Beat the living snot out of it

I'm going for a stop light sleeper deal. The 3.55s are a bit doggy out of the hole with the 2.66 first gear. I figured 4.10s should make it snappier on the street and track, besides it never sees interstate use anyways.

I have the drivers seat unbolted in my Swinger and a seat cover in the garage ready to be mated up. I have a LD4B and a AVS2 for the 318 under the hood but I might chisel away at the roller cam 318 block I have stuffed in the garage instead. It might be a good place for the Speedmaster heads I bought myself for a Christmas gift and a 4" stroke crank.
I am lucky to have 2 cars. The 66 has been a dependable ride since I built the 273 10+ years ago. It might need a little ongoing maintenance this summer but it is a fun driver. Last year I added some fun wheels so I can cruise and show them off this summer.

The question was what are my plans and what am I going to do and that is my plan to post faster and quicker (a body, since that is what this forum is about a boddies) timeslips then you...
My car doesn't have to be your goal for my goal to beat yours...
It makes life real simple when my goals are really easy......
Besides all that my goals for this year as well come in pairs... Two reupholstered front seats, 2 new Street Demon carburetors, two new Speedmaster heads, and maybe put the electric water pump back on...

Get my latest 416 built with roller valve train, aluminum rods, aluminum heads, higher compression, & see if I can get the car into the 9 second area.

New trans and drive shaft is in, all new front wheel disc brakes are in, 8 1/4 2.78 sure grip is in, hooker super comps and 360 are in..... now to tube up the new master cylinder and wire it up. Tune and drive by April . I drove my 66 Valiant for 7 years this way , been on a four year upgrade .

Was considering this myself, made some reverse cast molds off a junk rusted GTS bulge hood, can duplicate the Bulges in Fiber Glass that will accept the factory chrome inserts too.

Have not tried them on an actual hood yet, but always thought it would be a great custom look. Like your steel original hood bulges, would be interested in how you came up with a doner hood to make it happen.

I always enjoy the creativity involved in doing something like this.
