This weekend I spent all Saturday mocking up (hitting with hammers) everything Milodon makes. After a 7 month wait I finally received a oil pick up to go with my protouring pan. It all fit horrifically.

Had to dimple the pan and grind on my oil pump and pan.

Here's the windage tray "modifications". Had to "massage" the louvers to drop the tray as far up(down) as possible to fit the oil pan on.

Had to hit this with a hammer...but it all came together in the end.

A little pre paint on the timing cover and water pump. Trying to get colors right.

Had to trim the timing chain guide it interfered with the oil slinger.

Still need to get some paint on it within 48 hours. I need to measure piston protrusion and rock. Order head gaskets. Check piston to valve clearance. Measure and order pushrods. Figure out what intake manifold to use. Etc
 
I've been doing more stuff.

Piston to head clearance, piston to valve clearance, pushrod length, general mock up and fitment. Intake needs to be milled. I need to decide on gasket thickness also.

Mocking up an alternator mount,bracket and PS stuff. Had to make some cuts in the alternator adjuster. I still need to weld and grind it but I think it'll work. Then powder the the brackets and spacers.

Ordered Cometics today. Pushrod checker will deliver tomorrow. The one I have is too long but I used it anyway to check for P2V clearance.

I think I'm going to give the M1 intake some port work.
 
Will the "veritcal" layout clear the lower radiator hose? Kinda looks like it would be in the way...
 
Does Milodon not make a stroker windage tray? That seem kinda cheesy that they do not. You got it to work though. Pretty exotic build. You've got some nice equipment, too.

They don't, not for the pan I have. I'm 'complaining' but I knew going in i'd have to modify it, just like any repop parts. Thanks for the kind words.
 
Ended up cutting, splicing and welding to make a new alternator adjusting bracket. Since that's done, I can have the remaining bracketry powder coated.

Making side coolant feed lines. Had to go into the last freeze plug hole, due to header clearance issues on the passenger side. Hopefully it's sealed up tight.
