I finally figured out why none of the vacume operations worked on my car AFTER I took the dash out. Where can I find a replacement? Thanks

And where to find a decent repop heater core that fits right too

We don't know the year and model of your car.

The heater core should be easy. I bought one $25 from rockauto ~1 yr ago for my 65 Dart.

5-button climate switches go for ~$100. A link to one of many currently on ebay:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/NOS-MOPAR-7...Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr&hash=item1c2bd6e9ab

I bid on one recently at $22, but reserve was higher. Paddock used to sell them for $25 years ago. I couldn't find a 4-button one for my 65 C-body so had to adapt a 5-button. I have stash to last me forever.

Once you find a replacement, I suggest your blower "high" position to turn on a relay, as I did. If you run all that current thru the switches you will melt both the 5-button switch and your L-M-H switch.

i got a NEW one in the box i bought off ebay for my 71 dart a while back...will sell if for what i paid..60 bucks including shipping...and i dont need it anymore.

i can post a pic of the stuff tomorrow...

got that bundle of vacuum hose too...

Does anyone know if the difference between the pins on the 67 & 70 & up will be an issue? The broken 1 is from my 67 & the new 1 is 70 & up. There is only 1 pin with dual connections used on mine where there are 2 seperate pins on the newer 1. Has anyone swapped in a newer switch on an older car? If so,which pin did you plug in on the newer 1? Thanks for the help.

there is an article on rebuilding those units-- i'll see if I can find it, Lawrence

Mine in my 66 cuda was broken like that i carefully removed the broken ends from the tubing and stuck .41 safety wire in the holes of the control/slipped the broken parts on and super glued the broken tubes back in place [that was in 2006] after they dried i [carefully] removed the safety wire, works like a champ. Got luckey i suppose plus i'm cheep.

I just bought a se for my 71 swinger from rock auto. my fan nor a/c worked. with the new switch from rock auto it is all working now, sorta of. Try Rockauto.com.

@ HemiPar Do you have a pic of the back of it? Does it look like the new 1 I have a pic posted of?

@ VDart...Working sorta?

Yes, the one I got is the newer one in the pic. On the new switch, the two prongs above eachother are for the fan. Green wire top- blue wire bottom. blue wire to temp control switch under the dash. green wire comes from 1 of the prongs from the other connector.
I have wire diagram somewhere.

all mine got used, Here is wire diagram for a 71 dart taken from the FSM. I see now that in pervious post I explaned it wrong. I hope this helps you figure if it will work for you.

I got a new switch/vacuum unit through Auto Zone a couple years ago, about $60 if I remember.

Has anyone used the newer switch in a 67 & under a body? There is a difference in the pins by the pics so I'm guessing they changed something for 70 & up
