Went on a 1000 mile road trip and blew a tire 50 miles in. Contemplating running the same size so I can have a spare that works everywhere.
225/60R15's?
225/60R15's?
I like the offset stripe!View attachment 1716253882P225/60/15 front back and spare

Puts me in mind of the Go Go Dart! Thanks Rusty. Just wanted something different. View attachment 1716253905
I was running 215/65R15's up front and 245/60R15's in the rear, 165/80R15 (25.3") front runner as a spare. I wrecked one of the 245's and all we had in stock at work was 235/70R15's (used them for the trip but not a fan)If you like the staggered look, just do what I plan on doing. Run the same diameter front and rear, but go wider on the rear. My plan is to run 205 70 14s on the front and 245 60 14s on the rear. You can do similar with 15s. That way, you can carry one spare.
1969 DartWhat car?
Does it matter if the spare fits in the spare tire well?
If you go staggered I would want the spare the same size as the front. I personally would rather have the one size smaller tire (if you only go one size difference) on the rear if it went flat instead of a wider spare and having to put it on the front if that went flat.
Mine are 235x60/14 front 245x60/14 rear and my spare is a 235x60/14.
My plan is to carry a plug kit with a tiny air em up 4x4 compressor.1969 Dart
It would be nice (something I didn't take into consideration until mentioned here)

I ran over a valve stem (with the core removed) while passing someone, it was flat by the time I got back into the right lane.My plan is to carry a plug kit with a tiny air em up 4x4 compressor.
Hoping that i don't blow out a sidewall.
Then one size all around is your answer.I was running 215/65R15's up front and 245/60R15's in the rear, 165/80R15 (25.3") front runner as a spare. I wrecked one of the 245's and all we had in stock at work was 235/70R15's (used them for the trip but not a fan)
I like the idea of being able to rotate them also (fronts always end up chopping)
That’s what I do! Saved my butt a few times. My plan is to carry a plug kit with a tiny air em up 4x4 compressor.
