wiper seals 1966 valiant

I'm looking to buy new wiper pivot seals, any one know who sells them for a 1966 valiant?

schumacher creative services. they sell engine mounts, TriY headers and firewall seal kits. They also sell wiper seals. Those round foam seals that go on the wiper shafts are a PITA to slide on...but seal great.

My 65s were actually MISSING - rotted away to nothing!!!!

I recall buying a kit for my 65 Dart on ebay, from DMC (Detroit Muscle or such). Comes w/ seals and grease fittings. Is fairly inexpensive. There are posts here.

just installed grease fitting into my pivots. A bit tricky...but good way to lubricate them. Mine were nearly seized. Once I drilled the hole (carefull not the drill the shaft), I blew out a bunch of rust powder...got them moving, then blew them out again. Flushed the insides with PB blaster (light oil)....got them moving nicely. install grease fitting then filled with grease. Let them sit a while even warm them up...so the grease thins a bit. I MAY ooze out and drip on the carpet if you don't.

Is there an easier way to replace them then going up under the dash? I'm too dam big to get under and replace. Hoping someone here has successfully figured a way to do it from the cowl area.

under dash, the only way.... remove the seats, then you can lay on the floor with more room - but it was still be a pain.

From the cowl? maybe the only bodge would be in inject some 2 part expanding foam into the cavity. The next guy to do them (right) on your car, will curse you for years into the future!

Just installed seal today on my pivot shafts. The hole in the seal is only 3/16", and it has to stretch over a 5/8" splined head. Very tough on the fingers. Until I found an easy trick!

I took a glue bottle cap that looked like a cone. Put it on top of the head, and lubricated the mess with hand soap. then I pushed the seal down over the cone onto the head using a long socket. worked like a charm.

U can use this idea no charge!

The easiest way is with the dash out, but that requires the window to be removed. So unless you need to do all that....

Not too familiar with the older dash openings, so I don't know if you can do it on yours. On my '75 I can get at the left one with the cluster out and the right one with the glove box removed.

Using the schumacher kit, I made a nylon taper cap that fit snug over the spline... The seals slid right on up and over in no time... And... Having the grease fittings for the shaft is also a big plus!!!

Oh#-o Sorry if it looks "Obscene"... But a picture is worth a thousand words... Just hoping it gives peeps... Ideas!!! Believe me I tried to put the seals on just by hand... but realized I might destroy them (and my fingers) in doing so !!!

too elegant a fix. I just used a glue cap! good job. They should include a piece like that in the kit.
