So tomorrow I'm dragging home an A-100 van, for the 360 and 727, has an Edelbrock performer? and AFB on it.

The (I think) 9 1/4 rear is busted, and the van is trashed.

anything else worthwhile, disk brake parts?

Doesn't seem to me there's much there. It's got a new booster/ master, but it's a big'un.

Pinion broke in the rear, and they LOST the driveshaft while towing it home!!!!

Now I need to find an A body pan..........

If its got disk brakes on it, I can have my buddy get ahold of you. He's looking for a disk setup for an A-100. His is an 63 or 65, not sure.

If I am not mistaken, the A body vans are "A108s" not "A100s". The A100 was a truck.

The A-100 was the compact van and pickup. In the later 60's the A-108 was added to the mix with an additional 8" section added directly behind the front seat and ahead of the side doors. I prefer the shorter wheelbase A-100 myself.

For those who collect miniature Mopars, there is a little A-100 van coming out in plastic in 1/87 scale in April, by a European manufacturer by the name of Brekina. 1/87 scale is HO scale and is considerably smaller than the standard 1/64 scale Hot Wheels. That means these little A-100 vans will be about 1 1/2" to 2" long. They are very accurate and nicely detailed for the scale so they will likely be about $25.00 each. I don't think Brekina has any authorized US distributors, so they may be difficult to find.

I see said the blind man. Thanks for the clarification, Jim.

The factory battery box on those are totally cool......2 piece (top and bottom with a little latch) Also, of course the factory seats are worth a bit. I had one, sold it, and am now sort of keeping my eyes open for another (truck, that is).

My old one......with a '70 340 engine. *regrets*

Just an fyi. The 727 in the A100 vans has a very short tailshaft compared to the cars and also has the trans mount on top of it vs below. Also unless someone added power assist and disc brakes to it they never came with them from the factory as far as I am aware. I have a A108 and an A100, I love these damn things!

The A100's were all drum brake and 8 3/4 rears from the factory. The items I get the most calls for are: steering boxes that aren't worn out; shift cables; door locks; rust free doors; factory seats; and the front splash plate. Other items that are A100 only and have some value are: transmission; transmission mount; steering column, 10" front hub and drums; taillights; headlight bezels; mouldings; battery box; and driveshaft.

Turns out I'm FOS. This is a 77 B200. The wheel pattern IS standard 4.5" circle, there's not much left of it. I'm waiting to cool down. The guy who sold it to me yanked the booster/ master off and I didn't notice 'til I got home. It's pretty rough.

Interesting thing is, sticker says 318, but it IS a 360, and IS a 727, standard "car" shaft. 9 1/4 rear is broke bad.

Not much there other than engine/ trans, I'd say

Spindles, upper control arms, and rotors all the same as 2wd pickups from the 70s, steering box (less pitman arm) fits C bodies. Good unbroken grilles are getting tough to find. Sidemarkers are the same as the 70-71 pickups. Tail lights are 71-77 van only. If it has the small mirror mounts (the square ones with 4 phillips screws) and they are chrome, I think they are the same as pickups (Lil Reds)

Oh, and the axle shafts are the same length as pickups. Also, rear brakes, esp 11 inch, as the backing plates work on 8 3/4 rears.

Does the A100 and A108 have the same front straight axle?? I am looking for one if I can get a good deal on it.
Exactly the same? No.... but they'll interchange as a whole assembly. The 11" brake front end (which is what the 108 should have) is rated at 2500 lbs. whereas the 10" brake front end is rated at 2200 lbs. They use the same I beam. It's from the spindles out that is different.
