Wow,Today is a great day

A little update though

Got my heads back together with just having to replace 2 intake valves. The pistons are scarred a bit but it didnt crush the ringlands so im going to take my chances and run them again (trw forged flattops) Ported the heads and intake while they were off so maybe there will be a small power gain ;)

Hope to put it back together early tommorow morning when my head set arrives

Hey just look at it this way, Out of all this crap atleast you got the porting work done on your heads and intake and now when you find the little ***** you can run them over even faster.
Two rules in life!! #1-Don't mess with a man's woman!! #2-Damn sure don't mess with his car!!
Sorry to here. Hope you can get some good leads on the a##holes.
Good luck with the work to repair. It's always good to keep them the garage if possible.

Got it running driving today, working on the tune wich is way off now.

172-175 psi across all cyls. so all should be a-ok

Check with your car insurance company,
see if you have vandalism coverage.

I have Hagerty, but they insist the car be parked in a Garage
overnight.

I am lucky;
a block from my house I was able to rent a garage, for storage,
its too small to work on the car, except to maybe change
an alt., or a belt, no-way I could get under the car to do a starter,LOL.

I am glad to have the safe place to park the car,
walking distance from home.

Good luck with your toy.

I was planning on putting a hood release on the inside of my 69 Dart (due to potential theft of MSD, carb, etc - not vandalism), but not sure how to do it.

Can I buy a kit from Autozone or do I need one out of a later model Dart?

Also, I can't believe someone actually popped your hood when you were home.

It's sounds like a grenade going off when I pop my hood.

I plan on putting a security light on my garage facing the Dart tonight after reading this.

Again I need help with how to install an inside hood release for a 69 Dart.

I havent gotten that far into it yet, i was planning to use a late model (mustang/thunderbird/ranger style cable for how they mount, probly will be alot of fabrication.

My 73 Duster didn't have a inside hood release. Bought one from
a member of the board. Came off a 75 Duster or Dart. Fit perfect.
Wanted it for when I go to shows where I have to leave the car
outside. You should be able to find them at salvage yards or post
an add for one. Good insurance.

I had similar problems with a new paint job and some a**holes keys
speaking from experiance dont envolve the cops! That did nothing
but a late night *** beating seames to cure the problem. (and this guy was
a city council member)
