I really enjoy reading the articles here even tho I'm not an actual "A Body" and you all seem like good folks.. Kinda makes me want an A Body! Kinda ;)

The other forums that I read are dead most of the time.. VIntage Vans and Slant 6 seem to be a dying breed.

Truthfully, I've always had thing for A Body cars and I'm finding the more that I browse through this forum, the more I want one. Would actually be cool to find one that my wife would like.. then we could do cruise ins etc with a truck and a car. Keepin my eyes open..

We used to do alot of meet and greets when had had twin Magnums (LX) but I sold mine a few years ago.. was a fun car for a wagon. I built it to play and it was a true 12 second grocery getter. She still has hers.. Sweet car. Hot rod stance with 10s in the back, 8s in the front with cowl induction and alot custom touches everywhere. She'll never sell. Anyway, I miss those days of getting out with the cars,.

I love the A100 series of vans and pickups. Always had a thing for those. Never bought one though.

Welcome to Fabo. Lots of cool cars here lots of great ideas, lots of chatter, and lots of regulars on this site.

The cars that seem to have the easiest most reproduced parts are the 67-72 darts, demons and dusters. The ones that are the toughest to get parts for are the early A's 60-66.

67 to 69 Barracudas are the second hardest, and expensive to get parts for. Along with A body verts of all years being expensive parts wise.

Your best bet is to start with as complete a vehicle as you can find, unless you have easy access to a vintage junkyard thats not in the rustbelt.

Hope this helps
Matt

Hemi Cuda was my dream car in high school.. Shoulda bought one back in the 80s.

When I was a kid my uncles (huge mopar guys) were always at battle with each other.. One had a Hemi Superbird and the other had a 340 Swinger. They were both nuts... Cars and uncles

The Heavy-As don't need much of an engine to be fun, as long as they are well thought out.
A 360 with an overdrive allows a moderate cam and big gears, a real fun combo.
Strokers make small cams and rear gears possible, and overdrives unnecessary.
A 318 can be a real fun stop-lite city car.
