Well, this has been a good thread and has given me plenty of things to think about.
Tophat, what was the wrong gears?
340Dart, I have a 100 amp. alternator on the cop car I plan to use. I think I earlier asked about HID headlights, but no one addressed that for us... and, I also like the idea of extra soundproofing. I want to hear the music while I am driving.
There will be other questions I will have, probably lots of more questions as I progress with the car.

A 100 amp Alt. is more than the Amp gauge can handle. Install a Volt gauge and disconnest the Amp Gauge.
