    Best Drop Hitch?

Looking for recommendations for a good drop hitch brand/maker. For my car trailer with my rust bucket 2008 Silverado, I had a 3" drop hitch, considering with a loaded trailer the suspension will roughly drop an inch. My new acquisition is a giant lifted 1984 Ram and needs a much longer drop...

    1958 Dodge

Known this guy for years, couldn't get this car (in my price range) out of my brain. Would like a chance to own a 50s Mopar, and the 58 Dodge is the one, imo. So, I went to take a good look, at least a better look. He saved it years ago, no doubt, unfortunately put it in the only available...

    Soccer ball shift knob ?

I cannot find a shift knob that actually looks like a soccer ball. Anyone have or ever seen one? I can find cheap plastic ones on amazon, knobs with a tiny pic, a big pic, or crappy ones like in the pic below. The last one looks close, but the other pics in the ad show a deformed version of a...

    WIW 69 Barracuda

I would never buy it, but it's cold out and I'm bored, so what's it worth? I believe it was a 340 car, whether it was a Formula S who knows unless the buildsheet is in it. It's a shame to see it waste away, the body looks to be fairly solid.

    Bench 4 Speed Pics Wanted

Looking for pics of an original bench 4 speed. Preferably a year with the short Hurst stick. Without the boot would be nice too. Below is a 67. The hole is offset, the stick is centered with no bend left or right.

    Vacuum Gauge pros/cons

On a naturally aspirated engine, what are the benefits of having a vacuum gauge? Just wondering and I don't see much online on the topic. I have all the basics covered, oil, temp, volt, but it seems vacuum could be beneficial. I have the Performance Indicator, however I'm not sure how...

    Help Identifying Transmission

I looked at a 64 B body that allegedly has a 6 cylinder manual. It appears it was converted to a manual. The dash has pushbuttons, the column has a shifter, and there is a clutch pedal. I didn't think anything of it until I was looking at pics later. Anyone know what transmission this is? I...

    Buildsheet - strange location

It appears to go from under the seat, under the aluminum carpet border and flips back over under the seat. I had checked under the seats many times, took pics with phone shoved under there, noticed it today when I went to stick the vacuum between the seat and back panel. How do yoy get the...

    The News

It has been a while, but I got the tunnel ram 383 done, a year ago. Just wanted to thank FABO for your input, that and a skilled and honest engine builder. I found another hood at a swap meet that is the same color as the scoop (?) with some old school stripes on it. I'll make a better hole in...

Jegs, Summit, or Local Parts Store?

I need to gather parts to finish putting together an engine (cam, timing, rockers, gaskets, etc), clutch (everything), and other parts (tranny seals/gaskets, etc). It would be nice to get everything in on place, to save time, shipping, and bs. Let's look at a n Engine Kit Gasket Set...

Got a 383, need advice from my FABO brothers

OK, I am picking up a 383 tomorrow, bored .030, new pistons, cam, lifters, assembled, with 9:1 compression. He is going to give me 915 or 516 heads, my choice, but they need a rebuild. I also get the balancer, timing cover, water pump, cast iron intake, oil pan, and a really nice engine stand...

    Friend passed Saturday

My very good friend Greg (aka Grego, aka Peck) passed Saturday @ 5:18 am, he was 40. To make a long story short, his wife had brain cancer about 2 years ago, and is a survivor. His dog had cancer shortly after and died. He had testicular cancer about a year ago and survived. He was diagnosed...

My Old '64 on the Web

OK, its not a Mopar, but it was still a cool car. Sitting at work one day about 10 years ago, I said to my friend, "I've always wanted a 64 Nova SS." So I checked the local ads and wadda ya know. Nice shape, great interior, solid car, needed fenders and paint. I paid less than $3k, put...

I have the Weiand high rise manifold pictured below and it is nearly impossible to get the inner 4 bolts tight. Missed the Bid

I hate it when you try to buy a real pos off ebag and someone else throws a bid in for another 50 cents.
