Smart? HA! Like I tell everybody else.....I learned from repetition, just like a CHIMP. LMAO. I ain't smart. Hell, ain't you seen? People are always kickin me in the teeth around here, so I must be a dumbass.
 
I have all 4 door panels from a 73 Dart,will they be of any use/fit??I,m not sure.They,re an ugly color,but he can paint them.Let me know DarTT in a PM and I,ll box them up and ship to you or StrokerScamp?I was in your shoes once and was lucky to have a friend guide me along the way while redoing a 69 Mustang when I was 18 yrs old.It helped keep me outta trouble too.:snakeman:Let me know if these will be of any use.:-D
 
I'm not sure about the panels. Bruce is handling helping him with the interior. I think Bruce said they have the interior stuff.....I think. Give him a shout in chat and see what he says.
 
Wow what a lucky kid. Good thing he doesnt have MS so he is able to bolt on all those parts.

You aren't no dumbass, but it sounds like we both have a lot lessons learned in common. I learned them all the hard way, by ruining my stuff and it costing me $$$ until I figured it out.
Nobody has made more mistakes than I, if so, they really are a dumbass! :D

I was 17, and threw a rod in my 273 4 spd. 64 Barracuda. Had no idea how to use a mic, so I just bought .002 undersize bearings, and hoped for the best. Well, of course it locked up almost immediately and I got to do it right, the second time.
 
Ok I dont have much for parts but a few things laying around. What does he need? Besides everything lol. Mike could you put together a parts list of things you need?

2 14x7 Cragars need a bit of work not fancy but useable
Some spare trim windwhield, back window and drip rail use able
.850 torsion bars

sorry I missed this......I will ask him. I think the engine has apan, but he might like chrome. I'm surprised he aint popped in hisself.
 
He might need the oil pan if he's still going to use this 360, it came out of a van.. I've never messed with small blocks dunno if there different or not for cars, trucks and vans....

And 5 sponcers for my sons sprint car one being a Dodge Dealer. They all kicked in on his orange Duster. What comes around goes around. If you have a dream follow it. It keeps you going through hard times. Do not give up on the Dart no matter what arrises. I honestly believe God only helps those who help Others. I lived by that. I have every nut ,bolt and bracket to install that motor also. Heres a pic of my son and the motor parts . You can see by his eyes he smiling ear to ear. If only my dad would have met him.

Man, Can someone pinch me?! This is like some kind of insane dream! This makes me so very happy, I wish I could quote the entire thread and say Thank you to everyone!! Thanks so much everybody I didn't expect this kinda response to this kind of thing. I never really like to ask for anything, I even dislike asking to borrow tools or anything of the sort. This is what a car club is all about in my opinion.

DarTT still has the car at my house for a while and I am giving him all the help that I can with it physically.
Plenty of coaching though as long as I can run my mouth. LOL
He has a place to stay here any time he wants and can get away so he doesn't have to comute (He is 3 hours away from me).
So if any of you want to send him parts to the car you are welcome to send them here and I will put 'em in his car.

We are gonna try and get the interior painted and such before I start Chemo and Radiation crap in a couple a weeks. I am hearing that once that starts I won't be good for much for a while.

So let me thank you all for Mike and the mopar brotherhood!!!

That's a great offer but the '73's won't work onna '70.
He is lucky that he has the original '70 Dart GT 1 year only door panels and they are in great shape.

Im sure there is more on the list. I am unsure what else the 360 Greenhornet has for me needs.
Im pretty much listing what it needs to get on the road. I can focus on fancy stuff such as a floorshift later.

I have a good idea why he has not popped in :happy10:
I learned here about three years ago that it is harder to receive then give.
I was in an emotional break down outside that night the folks here gave me a lovely and one of a kind 66 Valiant sedan I call Victoria Hornet :crybaby::crybaby::crybaby: and did not know how to handle the gifting of Victoria It floored me to say the least :eek:fftheai::eek:fftheai:
My brother and wife had to keep everyone updated because I was in shock

I have seen DarTT and his efforts that bring me back when my uncles made sure I had a car.

Hornet !! you sure have a kind and caring hart brother :happy10:

They are different. He will need the oil pan and pick up for a car.

Bruce I have to thank you most of all, you helped me go through anything and everything and saved me from throwing a few things out that were importnat and also, most importantly, you replaced anything that was missing. Please, if you could, name anything that wasnt already on my list of stuff I need. Kinda stumped and don't know what else. Im pretty sure that is all. but Im not sure.

Mike you can pay us all back by followin through!!! and I know from talkin to you that you will. did you see Ed is sendin me a carburetor for you? That will be a nice one when finished. You need to make sure you keep a record of what you get and from whom. I will help with that with anything that is sent this way. That way, you will know how to drop a little thank you not to in the mail. This is gonna be fun.

Body Parts I KNOW he needs:
Ignition and Door Lockset with Key (Some dumbazz lost the keys...).
Trunk lock with key (Same dumbazz lost this key too).
Drivers side Armrest and Base - Black if possible.
A center floor patch about 10 in X 10 in drivers side.
The fiberglass panels that go behind the Kick Panels - both sides.

Thats all off the top of my head.
I am sure we will come up with some more later.

He also wants to put the Black Vinyl Top back on her
and Black carpet.
