Total badassary.

Not the fastest, but here are a couple of different looks to some different stuff. A) 1968 Ply Fury III 4-door. 100 % factory 383 commando (even exhaust and carb), 3.23 gears, auto, 4350 lbs with me in it, 15.19 1/4 mile. Added 3.55's and a Weiand action plus, 14.75! B). 1989 Dodge D150 shortbed 2wd. Came with a 3.9 TBI (non magnum) auto, 3.21's. All I did was install a '89 360 TBI (non magnum) and ECM from a '89 Maxi, with a balanced flexplate. 100 % stock from the Throttle body to the oil pan. Even used the factory 360 exhaust manifolds and single exhaust (bought a new Y-pipe). 15.32 at 87 mph. C). '85 Caravelle (k-car) 2.2 turbo. 14.60's with the only additions of a 125 dollar MP computer, and a 3.00 fish tank bubbler on the waste gate to run 14 psi of boost, and a 40 dollar home made exhaust. None of these odd ball combos had ported heads. Just cheap fun. Gave 1300 for the Fury, 900 for the truck, and 200 for the Caravelle.... THIS IS FUN ON A BUDGET.... LOL

The first motor I had in my D50 was a 2000 360 Magnum , 9.5 comp stock untouched magnum heads and a 501/513 hydraulic roller. It had really restrictive 2.5 block hugger headers and Mopar M1 single plane intake with a 950 Holley.
Ran a best of 7.27 @ 95 in the 1/8.

I went 13.4 @ 106mph last weekend with no traction whatsover with atrocious 2.35 and worse 60ft times and lost puff at top end with fuel starvation. The M/T ET Radials 255/60/15 didn't want to stick at all and this was in 95 degree heat and fuel was boiling up pretty bad and was spluttering everywhere. With new 275/60/15's to put on and good weather I should easily get in the 12's (hopefully)..

Yes pana I was there and the track was crap! I only ran 12.5 with a 2.1 sixty foot. I have run 11.7 with a 1.6 sixty foot. If you get your sixty foot down to 1.6 you would run a low twelve. I have invested in some new M/T drag slicks 235/17s and hope to get down my sixty foots to 1.5s so should knock about two tenths of my qtrs. so maybe a 11 four or five is in it!

I took the Duster out on the weekend with a fresh set of M/T ET Radials 726/60/15 (28") and the car all day ran 13.1's @ 106mph with crap 1.95-2.0 60ft times and it was spinning the boots every run. Tried a few different launches and the like and didn't work. I've scored a pair of Caltracs for it that should sort that issue out. Outside of that the car went beautifully. Nice and straight out of the hole (except the wheelspin) and was really happy overall except for the times. The new converter and shift kit have made a huge difference too.. Shifting at 6,000 and over the line at 5,800 and it was perfect! Just need to sort that 60ft time out and run again and then time for a 100 shot of gas...

No one wants to add weight to there car. But adding some weight in the trunk behind the axle could make a better ET as well as 60" foot.

They say loosing a 100 pound is worth a 10th(.10) right? If you added 50+ pound in the trunk and you ran a .10 or more better 60'....You are faster even though you are heavy...er.

And! way cheaper then a set of caltracs. Also way easier to install too.

I might also even try clamping the front of the SS Springs as well and see if it helps. I'm running the Competition Engineering rear drag shocks as well set at 50/50.

My 68 dart GTS ran best of 12.98@105, 68 340 with stock replacement TRW pistons, 9.5-1, stock X heads, MP 508/280 solid circle track cam, 238@50, around 480 lift after lash. Air Gap intake, 750 Holley DP with proform main body, flow tech headers uncapped, 727 with unknown 3800 stall converter, 410 rear with 235/60-15 BFG drag radials. Has SS springs and Competition engineering drag shocks all around, FBO ignition and a MP dizzy that I set up.

1969 Sport Satellite. Rebuilt 1973 440 - 10:1 cast pistons - stock cast crank bottom end. MP 280/474 cam and matching springs. Stock 906 heads. Holly street dominator with 3310 750 carb. Hooker competition headers. 727 trans with factory hi-stall(2600 stall). 3:23 sure grip with 255/60/15 BFG's. Car ran 13.20 with no traction whatsoever in first gear. Had to baby it out of the hole. I think it would have ran a mid to high 12 with proper traction. Don't remember the MPH(long time ago)
