Stop in for a cup of coffee

That's the right attitude!
There's a lot of nice things about the new vehicles but I don't want one. One day I might have to get one as a back up or for some other reason. Right now my '85 is new enough.
You cannot match the driving experience of a new car. Or, our old cars either.....

I agree Tim. There's been some really impressive stuff in the past decade or so. Its just not the same. Even switching up from the Wagoneer to the Barracuda is different experience. The wagon is easier to drive, even though the ride can be a little rougher. After a while I start to miss driving the car....

I have driven new cars... even bought a couple in my life. Yep, they ride nice. But I can't work on them. And the cost of most parts for them is ummmm... $$$$. Friend just got hit in a parking lot in the side of her newer car. Took it to a very reputable shop to get new door and body work. Got it back and sometimes the door unlocked/opened... sometimes it didn't. And then it unlatched as she was driving 55 down the highway. Turned out there was a pinched wire. The new cars are just so complicated.

Come down here sometime when the weather gets warmer and I will let you drive the SRT...you will fall in love!

I sold my Hellcat, to buy a new Demon. Welll, I don't think I am going to take delivery of the Demon. Kind of over that kind of car.

And there it is, forming off the North Carolina coast pulling in all the energy from around it like a black hole...

The Hellcat and Demon are too over the top for me. No real way to drive them on the roads and fully enjoy them. That’s why I never traded my SRT in on one.

I wish I had mY SRT Challenger back...It was a stick tho, and my big feet were a problem shifting...

I had postponed getting the 3.92 Getrag LSD for my SRT until/if I got my bonus. Now that I have it, I just texted my friend at High Horse Performance to put me back on the list to make it happen.

28% faster acceleration is a good thing!

I would not have expected that to be a an issue with a standard size car. My feet are normal size and I was house sitting and needed to move their Ford econo car, a probe maybe?, and I couldn't beleive how small the pedals were. Of course I was wearing my work boots which made it that much more fun. Gosh, I'm think the last time I drove a sports car with a stick was either Miata, or Mustang. Both were better than the little econobox as far as pedal room went. These would have been at our novice autocross school so of course I was wearing sneakers. (I know driving shoes would be better...)

I kept hitting the brake peddle with the clutch, real nice down shifts....NOT!!

Yeah, the pedal positions on the manual don’t make sense to me. The clutch needs to be about 3” further to the left and the brake pedal needs to be larger. It is like they designed the car for two pedals and just stuffed the third one in there by shrinking the brake pedal.
