Stop in for a cup of coffee

I like it very much. It idles like it's angry!
a really boxy car from the 60s is sure a change from my normal 70s Duster lust.

I had actually planned to buy 3 cars this week:
The Duster
The Dart GT (if it would have been possible to make a deal)
and another 70s car locally that fell through

I didn't plan on the Belvedere but when it came out that he was willing to ship it to St. Louis ….It got my interest.

I know you guys think I have lost my mind because I already have a lot of cars but I guess in my mind there is a method to my madness.
I am not miss money bags but I can afford it now so I figure I better just grab what I can now that I can. These days wont be around for long and I would rather give away or sell later, than regret I didn't buy when I could.

I think you regret what you didn't do in life more what you did do. IMO

That 64 Dart definitely has possibilities. 64 is my favorite early Dart year. I was looking for one when I found my 66. I will own one someday I hope. Speaking of my 66, I looked at the calendar and today back in 2004 I looked at my 66 to buy it. Here's what I saw.

I really like that car....too bad it wasn't a slant six car, but I suppose the little V8 isn't bad, especially because there is no such thing as a bad mopar engine :)

I am getting educated I never knew what the hierarchy was in 67

The GTX was top
Satellite was Top trim
The belvedere 2 was a hardtop and had moderate trim
The Belvedere 1 was totally economy, no trim and cheap. it would almost be a crime to bucket seat/ console swap a car that was intended to be a cheap car for a school teacher or blue collar joe LOL

So I have broken down and am getting AC in my house. Never thought it would get hot enough near the coast to need that, BUT every year it is getting hotter, for more days, Yea, Global climate change is just a Hoax, Fake news!!!:realcrazy::BangHead:

I did that in a house I am fixing up. Cost me almost 8 grand but now the house feels like a luxury condo.

Its so worth it and the electric bill didn't really go up that much …..like 40 to 50 dollars, but hey that is not bad for a luxury feel. You want to roll with the big kids sometimes it costs a bit. LOL

Best wishes to your projects over there :)

Thanks, I had A solar system installed last year, that will run the AC for free. Well, no free anything, I still have to pay for the Solar loan.
AC did seem like a luxury, but no longer....

YES !!!!!

They have re-pop tail lights for a 67

PG Classic 167-LGTX Mopar 1967 B-body GTX Taillight Lens Set | eBay
for some reason I always have issues with tail lights. Now I am almost paranoid about buying cars with no re-pops available.
Tail lights have given me so much grief

I would rather get some new ones and not mess with faded and mismatched, cracked junk.

I am have gone round and round trying to get faded lenses matched so it doesn't look so dumb at night with one bright one and one dark maroon one

yep! I learned that lesson hard with the 74 dart. Part of why I chose to switch the tail panel to 70 dart since it had to be replaced anyway due to rust.

so you talking about a 3rd gen hemi swap got me looking around this morning. (Our server got fried in the power outage surges yesterday, so no workie for me today) I cant find anyone that has used a push button trans behind the hemi. It's no different than a 727 and will work. Just no one that I can find has done one. I think its because most guys ditch the pushbutton trans and the ones keeping it are trying to stay original or are building clones.

my 75 dart and the valiant wagon and the 72 duster all have issues with tail lights.

For some reason they don't repop tail lights for a 72 duster yet every other year of duster has re-pops available.
I don't have anything for a tail light for the 72 duster, I am tempted to change out the tail panel to the 70/1 type because those lenses are available new all day long.

I got lucky with the valiant wagon because I found two pair of NOS lenses and it makes it easy that the lenses are the same for either side ...simply flip it over and you have the lens for the opposite side LOL

the 75 dart, I have not addressed it yet ...I guess the solution is to buy up a crap load of used lenses and see which ones work the best.

yeah, the 74-76 taillights are not being reproduced. and as I'm sure you're aware, used ones that have no fading or cracks are like gold. I've seen them going for 500 a PAIR and and people actually paying that price.

Even E body guys are doing the modern engine swaps!!!!
yeah ive noticed that. lets face the obvious, modern machining and designs are making some unprecedented horse power levels while maintaining decent drivability. its just $$$ to do it from what I'm finding.
