Well noted

That’s why we are doing things completely different than Mooneyes.
And that event is way way bigger than this.

We will be staging swap meeters and early show and drag cars BEFORE 7:00 am in the parking lot OFF THE STREET between the big grandstands and Arrow Highway. Those early people enter from the very West most gate to Irwindale that says SC Fuels on it.

There will be multiple 900 ft staging lanes off the street. As long as the line at Woodley is.

Also early general admission (Walk-In) will park in that lot using the West gate

Just wanted everyone to know. There are no limitations to General Admission tickets at Fall Fling at Irwindale Dragstrip. You don’t have to bring a Show Car, Drag Car, or Swap Spot. Current Covid requirements apply. Just have fun

Bought my ticket. Will be driving my 65 Dart from LA and hoping for my first 6.99 timeslip(best of 7.01). Hopefully driving home!

Thanks for the support. The drag field is looking strong. And great variety of cars. We’ll have over 100.

Racing starts at 10am. So you can shop the swap meet before that and concentrate of racing 10-3

Total longshot here, but my starter chewed up my torque convertor today while I was prepping the car for Sat. Anyone in Socal have a convertor that would work behind my 590hp stroker sb(904)? I'm in LA. Just to make it more impossible, I was intending on a 100 shot of nitrous. It's a Dynamic convertor- I will be on the horn with them first thing tomorrow, and if that doesn't pan out, I'll call John Cope, who built my trans. Thanks, Pete

Fantastic weather !

The cool down will be great with some overcast keep sunburn down.

That early morning rain will never happen. In SoCal anytime there is a cloud in the sky they say that. Many local station didn’t mention that.

Is the show still going on? I was on social media a few mins ago (instagram) and someone (not affiliated with Cpwclub) had said the show was now canceled. Any truth to this?
 
I was in the irwindale office to sign up for the drags, just a few days ago, and there was NO indication that the event was in danger of cancellation!
Do you believe everything you read on the internet? I sure dont. Call the office at the track. You will either get recorded info, or a human during business hours.
NOTE: i believe the bug-in that was scheduled for the next day HAS been cancelled. I think a chevy vs ford vs mopar event for that sunday has replaced the bug-in.
 
My apologies folks. I just checked with someone who knows the pres of CPW, the club that holds the event. Im told the event HAS been cancelled, due to new covid regulations (chinese cocksuckers!) ( and f#%k california too!).

Statement from Chrysler Performance West and Irwindale Speedway & Event Center Regarding

“Fall Fling 25th Anniversary”



(October 20, 2020) Irwindale, CA - Officials from Chrysler Performance West and Irwindale Speedway & Event Center, in consultation with local officials, have made the unfortunate decision to cancel “Fall Fling 25th Anniversary,” until a time when it can be assured that an event of this prestige can be hosted in a safe and successful manor. The event, previously scheduled for this Saturday, October 24th, was set to host a participant only Mopar Swap Meet and Drag Race on Irwindale Dragstrip. CPW and I.S.E.C. ask for patience and understanding from all participants as we look toward the future for possible collaborations.



All pre-paid participants will receive full refunds for the Saturday, October 24th event. Refunds will be processed automatically and will begin as soon as possible. Questions can be directed to info@cpwclub.com and info@irwindalespeedway.com.
