The top part is very hard. Best way is a quickie saw. Or a big abrasive chopsaw.
Quick cut saw, used them for cutting rail when I worked for the CN.

I had 1 car that you opened the glove box, removed the liner and the access cover for the heater core was right there. My daily driver isnt one of those.
Supposedly best way to change it is remove seats, center console and entire dash in order to access it.

Yeah it is. Though it’s getting sparser and sparser each year. But you usually can find decent deals. And I set up a booth last year and managed to sell 75% of the stuff I wanted to and found my intake I’ve LONG searched for. A Holley Street Dominator.

So i tapped around with a pick hammer to figure out how big of a panel it needed. I didnt go big enough, burning through all over. I have to say, this gm body metal is really thin to start with.
Frustrating. Oh well, its getting fiberglass filler anyway.

Well, im almost outta PSI’s. but made good progress, the lightning gun seems to be working better on solid metal.
