We're back to a NWS "Flood Advisory" here. Rain hasn't let up since 07:00. Of course the weather station at the airport the NWS monitors has sprung a leak in it's rain guage 
We are seeing all the rain y'all are getting, hope the mud and dirt stays where it is at @Unconventional
My week ahead doesn't look bad, no low night time temps is a good thing.
Shifter cable and transmission mounting bracket is in and feels correct, not adjusted yet.

Well just seen something rather unusual in the sky.
Wife and I were outside, heard rumble, sky is clear so wth, looked to the south east where the sound came from and it looked like chaff dispersed from a c130 or something over the river bottoms. Maybe 3-4 thousand ft AGL. Didn’t have my phone for a picture and the stuff died out fast before I could get back outside.
No aircraft or anything nearby though.

My sons just sent me an update picture of there Monty dirt build, looks like another great build is on its way, Go Creeds Customs !!!
My friend scot ran his at Wisconsin International Raceway last summer. Slanty, 4 barrel ran in the 17s. 65 Valiant

Just to be clear, my X on that guy's post was because he wrote "My stock 74 duster with a /6 ran low 17's."
That was topped off several posts later when he wrote "I had 3 /6's, I wasn't impressed by the acceleration of any of them, actually all of them were dogs."

Really not sure why you're getting hit so hard.
For some of the cuts at the butcher down at the Italian market here, the prices are through the roof as well.
The free range/ grass fed meat at the farm market is actually fairly reasonable in comparison. They're getting hit on fuel and there's also a lack of certified butchers. The latter should not be a issue for a big operation like Sam's buys from.
Lower gears would be a good place to start.
So my job puts me in the position where I have to track the supply chain of everything the base I work for will use. There’s literally shortages on everything. Every product you see has some level of shortage compared to what is considered “normal” demand.
The industry considers normal demand to be where all end to user distributors (aka stores) have 72 business hours worth of the items the carry in stock at the rate of normal sale conditions. (Things like hurricanes, blizzards etc would cause it to not be normal sales)
The problem is, right now due to variety of factors including wars, covid, political headwinds, labor, cost of materials, etc, the average store in any metro area of over 250,000 people only had 11 hours worth of normal sales of items.
So to alleviate that because let’s face it, more people in a tighter smaller area, equals more profit, and more publicity, the supply chain focuses first in replenishing the larger population areas first. There’s a minimum they have to maintain for rural areas, which is what they are doing.
Add in the transportation costs being more to drive out to the smaller population centers, the price will be higher.
Just a perfect storm.

The base commissary isn’t very big, smaller than the average dollar store by about half. So they don’t stock much. Manager did say I can order online and have it delivered to that store. So I’m gonna compare prices shortly.
