63 Dodge Dart, now let me see;)

I like how you routed the starter cable. Would you mind showing how you routed the cable on the interior side?

Thank you :thankyou: It's still kind of in the rough stages~ I ordered this kit from Speedway and thought sure 10 would go along the pathway of the drivers door~ so had to choose the only logical path, sure wasn't going under the car.

The ground cable will go through the firewall via a regular grommet and bolted to the block and there can be a short ground from the block to the chassis. Where the two cables hit the back seat metal part, I'll put grommets there and go through the metal part. I'll be laying down some jute? stuff to surround the two cables in their path, then secure with duct tape to prevent wire/cable movement.

carpet should conceal these and with the dash in place should be unnoticed. Just to the left of the firewall connector will be the starter relay. Its not there yet obviously ;)

Haven't bolted the battery tray down yet. I will install a cutoff switch somewhere, also looking into mounting a solenoid , but haven't figured it out yet, don't really want an arcing problem.

Thank you!!!
Thanks. I was really in interested is seeing whereabouts on the fire wall the starter cable lands (on the inside). Looks like a logical, yet clean spot. I'm doing the same on my '66 and still need to figure out where to punch through the firewall.

Took some time to move the dart back into the AC garage~ just getting too hot for little ole me;) all the side glass is in except for the front and rear glass. Still waiting on the headliner, they said it's being made to order, so may be a few more days. Got an email from the Driveshaft place, it's on the way. We have a house full of kids n grandkids for a 12y/o birthday boy. So, that's what's happening over the next few days, just partying:thumbsup::thumbsup:

AC!!! Texas heat and humidity! Yes your attention to detail is inspiring. I have not that much [patience!

Holiday weekend. Our youngest grand kid is celebrating his 3 rd birthday on the beach in Galveston today. By evening he and his brother will look like one of those stuffed jalenpenos we do on the pit! :BangHead:

Hi, I didn't see much reason not to install the fenders and valance~ I need to see where I'll run the front wiring. The fenders are being held on next to nothin, but aren't going anywhere. I'll leave the hood on for now, kind of hard to store anyways. I pretty much figured out the hydraulic hood props~ I'll post a pic later. I'm happy to see there's plenty of room for the condensor(whenever I get one), even an electric fan would fit it seems, but I'm hoping my large fan with the my fabricated fan shroud will pull enough air. I just put the grill in held by some vice grips for a glamour shot

I'm kind of starting to ponder decals~ I want the slash marks on the front fenders, but below it I'd like to either be MOPAR or Super Six, and the rocker panels, well, not sure what to do there. Perhaps Super Six might look better along the rocker panels, but any ideas are certainly welcome, but it will have graphics.;)

Decals are good on the "Rear" (side) windows of your '63.

If you like attention? Every time I take the truck out running errands locally, people always come up to me to ask questions and want to talk about the truck. It's been as many as 3 different people coming up to me during one loop through town.

Must be the "Window Stickers" that are drawing them in...

2 cents > you know: Hooker Headers, STP, Moon, Champion, Thrush, Quaker State. The list goes on from days gone by.

The '63 has unique body lines all on its own.

Hi my dears~ now the fenders are hopefully permanently bolted on. Wiring mess still going on. I guess if I had a question, and I do, if I wanted to run a fresh air inlet hose to the air cleaner~ Would that be advisable? There already is a large hole to the drivers side of the radiator support. With the battery relocated, don't think it would look weird? Then finding a hose might be a quest!

How close to the same size are the hole in the radiator support and the round end on the air cleaner snorkel? It might not be too hard if they are close. It couldn't hurt. The tuner/fart can crowd swears a fresh air system is worth at least 80 HP....lol. :D

80 hp!!

Now that the driveshaft is out of the way, played with the shifter, IT'S OH SOOOO NICE!! I was going to go look at tires, but got distracted by other things. Still have wiring to contend with, but making progress. I have a few days before leaving for Philly again:(
going to sit back now, drink my coffee and ponder

Just a little help here, mainly ign1 and ign2 and does it still need to be grounded. Batt, ACC and ST are easy.
THanks;)
