Need opinions on this Demon for $25k

-
Hate to admit this here, but I’ve started looking at prices for ‘69 Mustangs (one of my Bucket List cars), and what I’m finding seems to fit well with this thread in that, in my opinion, $20-$30k seems to be the “sweet spot” for cars that are either, A) Original, but kinda “crusty” (or “well loved”), or B) “Lipstick on a pig” cars. Now admittedly that last one may be a bit harsh, but it gets the message across….

I agree 100% with everyone who asked, “What are you looking for/what are you going to do with it?”, as I’m struggling a bit with that myself right now, but fortunately it seems the OP seems to “know his limitations” (cue Harry Callahan), and I wish him well in his search!

Thanks for checking my mistakes

All you make is mistakes Dan.

Originally a slant six car? 10k tops. Just wait and get the real deal.

Time to join the current century already in progress. A decade ago maybe, not now.

Again, slant 6 clones have brought upwards of $60k at auction. Granted, far nicer cars than the ones shown here. When I bought my Duster the top of the market for the most beautiful dusters and demons, real 340 cars, was $60k. Now it’s north of $150k.

There are multiple Demons and the like for sale at Carlisle. Only took a picture of 1, overload of them.

This one had a Sizzler hood, so get out your #s matching correct factory options notebook and tear it a new one.

Great looking car, imo, awesome interior, and metal mess headlight covers for those 4 wheeling trips.

This car is probably a '71 Demon Sizzler, so that hood would belong to it.
The Sizzlers with high impact colors came with body colored grilles.
Mine is F7 green so the grille is standard.
If it has A59 on the fender tag and it matches the other numbers on the car, it's legit.

I don't think that all I do is make mistakes, but I do know that I'm not as perfect as you are

I found a really nice 66 mustang coupe with ac, ps,pdb and pony interior with a console for 20k

BS they have plenty of them.
You guys have been saying that bs for a couple of years and not one of you ever located a A body with a V/8,at,ps ac. They were either 4 speed cars or x race cars, /6 cars. So throw that bs out the window. One member even said that he could find me one with in 6 months and it never happened.

You know that I'm right
not only are you NOT right, you're so wrong it's not even funny.

THREE of the last five mopars i've bought have been p/s, p/b, AT V8 cars and TWO of those had AC.

this has been within the last three years, too.

so you saying that they're not out there is blatantly false. quit your fibbing.

You got lucky is all I can say. I can't tell you the hours I have been on Facebook looking, I look at Illinois, Kentucky and Indiana. Remember too, that I'm not looking for a project car

Say what? Bazza’s ‘71 VG (my avatar pic) has all of those options. 318, PS, PB, auto, A/C…..and even that extra rare option: RH drive.

Truly amazing with the vast knowledge you've learned/read and parroted over the years we all thought you'd start a YouTube channel step by step with yours truly. I know you tube is still in infancy stages of text dialog vs uploading videos perhaps we could all put a fundraiser together for a good used camera to document the journey

You guys are lost for words because what I said is true, the leads I was given was for everything but what I was looking for. Mostly you guys mentioned /6 cars, x race cars, 4 speed cars, project cars. Anyone know where there is a A body with ps,ac,at? I'll answer for you, NO

if you're talking about me, i forwarded TONS of cars your way. ALL of them met your criteria. but all i ever heard was: i'm gonna contact them, i'm gonna call them, and then.... nothing.

well, nothing except for the excuses: the weather sucks, it's too far away, that's too much money, i don't like green, it's tuesday, there's a fleck of rust on that lower corner, i have to finish my social studies homework, my wife says no.

case in point: i sent along that AWESOME 72 dart that was little old lady one family owned. it was green on green and PERFECT. i told you to fly out here and look at it. if you liked it buy it and you could bring it down here and STORE it at my place for a few months while the weather got better in your part of the country. the only thing it didn't have was power brakes which i OFFERED to put on and give the car a once over so that you could drive it home in the spring.

so you can ease that mess on down the road kemosabe, the only bullshit around here is you daniel.

here:

also there were like 5 others that needed something MINIMAL to meet your expectation- one was a 69 cuda that need power brakes and AC, big deal. for the price you could easily add them, another just needed power brakes, and the rest were like that the same.

He's itching to join forfoxbodiesonly
I'm not, not at all. I just happen to know that what I want is pretty much not available and I'm tired of looking for something that's not there. I'd have a A body if there were around.
