Yes, I listed the 273 heads. And the list goes on and on for small block heads. The '68-74 318 heads are 675 castings.

In '68 and '69 the 273 uses the same heads as the 318....the 675 casting.Yes, I listed the 273 heads. And the list goes on and on for small block heads.
I must not have looked far enough on the list to see those. In '68 and '69 the 273 uses the same heads as the 318....the 675 casting.

The heads are worth saving, class racers need them, they flow well for small port heads with minimum work. I'd sell the Commando engine complete, there is a market for them. If you were closer I'd buy both engines. Thanks all for the responses - got the rockers and dual points distributor off. Don’t think I’ll have time to pull the cams. Are the heads worth saving?
The 2 barrel was available in Belvedere's, Satellite's, and Coronet's in 65.I've seen exactly one each 1968 Belvedere and Coronet (Deluxe) with factory 273 engines.
Both were xL21D VIN cars.
No numbers Matching back then. Just date code correct. It may have some value to someone. They seem to be worth more pieced out than complete.Save the forged crank, rods, 4-barrel intake, correct carburetor, dual-point distributor, and valve covers. Those are the most valuable and unique parts. Scrap the block unless you find a numbers-matching restorer.

Pretty crazy back then how they decided what engines were available for what cars. 2 things for certain, Polys weren't available in A body's, and 273-4 barrel engines were only available in A bodies....and in 64's and 63's, but we were talking about after the introduction of the LA 318.
Once the Poly got phased out, things settled down for the most part.
Right now they’re worth marital tranquility for them to be gone…No numbers Matching back then. Just date code correct. It may have some value to someone. They seem to be worth more pieced out than complete.
I think that’s where I’m at with thisSave the forged crank, rods, 4-barrel intake, correct carburetor, dual-point distributor, and valve covers. Those are the most valuable and unique parts. Scrap the block unless you find a numbers-matching restorer.
If the motors have them, save the 90 degree oil filter adapters also. Save the big bolt that holds them on too. The ones that came on 273's are true 90 degree adapters and are exactly the ones needed to install a small block in an Early A body. The later adapters are not quite 90 degrees and make the oil filter hit the frame rail in an Early A. The early adapters that are true 90's will work on any body style.I think that’s where I’m at with this
Yup, but, the shipping costs for some items kill their value. It all has value to someone.
They came out in 67' but were a 68' model year, as in most cars. TA's were the same. Came out in 69' but were a 70 year model. You're right. 68
I have an even crazier idea, to bolt a Magnum beer keg intake to my 1965 273 heads to get cheap MPFI. I know the bolt angles are different, but in 1965, they were closer to vertical (~20 deg off vertical). Appears enough meat in the beer keg to hog it out to pass bent studs up thru the holes. The studs would need a slight S-shape to get on-center. Had the Magnum parts sitting on the shelf for maybe 15 years. Couldn't do that on later heads with bolt holes 45 deg off vertical, but could drill and tap new holes. I could do that, and even have a spare 1965 273 engine if I mess up (was a Commando, but pistons ruined).@Jeebis44 Be sure to look at the pistons to see if they are oversized. You can sell those to someone needing to bore their motor. Someone may want the 920 heads if you sell them cheap enough to make shipping worth it.
As far as availability of 273's in A body cars, we have a numbers matching 69 Dart GT conv that is a 273 car. I've got a set of Race Tech custom flat tops for it, and making plans to use Magnum heads and factory Magnum OBDII fuel injection on it when time comes to fix it. I wanted to make it a one of none 69 Dart Swinger conv....but my wife ain't havin it since it's her car...lol.
I for sure would be interested in a set of .030 pistons.@Jeebis44 Be sure to look at the pistons to see if they are oversized. You can sell those to someone needing to bore their motor. Someone may want the 920 heads if you sell them cheap enough to make shipping worth it.

The early heads did crack - 64/65.....not sure about the later heads with the bigger bolts.....
The head bolts were the same. The early intake bolts were smaller.
