high class you're dash, Nice work  I like the the use of tomato to clean area's, When I picked tomatoes the only thing that would clean your hands was to smash a tomato in your hand and get all the stains off.
I will have to remember that one :-D

Good work! I have to keep my wife off this thread for sure or she will want to see progress like this on my Duster!!!

I am actually going to do that today on my Rallye dash I just got. Thanks for the tip 64dart. :-D

64Dart can be good for something sometimes. LOL!!!! He is working hard and excited. Now he wants to paint palm tree leaves on the roof. He is full of ideas and some other things.

I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one around the hizzaey that's "FULL" of some other shtuff too!!:-D

Got to lookin at the green in sun, going to get the palm leaves, swamp grass, flowers, etc ready for later! Might even throw a couple of "FERN" leaves in the mix. Already got the black paint, might as well throw some later for entertainment!
The body work is horrible on the sail panels. The leaf overspray fades will hide some of it I hope! Had an air finish sander go down and had to finish in a hurry for weather to seal bodywork for winter. I'll sand em down again in spring for improvements, so we'll just treat this as a sealer base coat for winter! Also designing a stencil for hood center stripe panel, taking sketches right off my surf board for 1/1 scale, for nose to touch "SE" hood ornament! Surf's up dudes!
Gaskets heating up in garage right now! Will be masking while I'm waiting!

I would have to say I am a little understanding. I have to be he is working on my car. The motorcycle I couldn't stand in the house. The car parts or not so bad, except when I need to cook. But that is another topic and story. Just went to Wal-Mart and purchased some fern leaves. Can't wait to see what happens.

Less talk more walk!!
Peep the pics!
Tomarrow, rear glass goes in I hope & trip to the junk yard for side marker lights and windshield!! Also need exhaust manifold.
Later when you're hair gets straighter!
By the way, I think ABodyBetty took some candids of me.
Ladies, try not to pine too much, I'm already taken, and guys, its alright to want to be like me!:toothy10:

I got to tell you guys, I was trying to get a few good shots of the finished product so you could really see the Fern job.
However, after I shot the 1 coat clear & gold micro sequins & 2nd coat of clear only, the camera's auto focus would not lock on and click the shot!! It would just keep adjusting back & forth looking for focus solution!! I really didn't get a good shot!!
The paint is so you look left to right and see 1 set of patterns. If you move 6-12" left or right and then look left to right, you see a completely different set of patterns!
It's totally 3-D and 1 of the cooler paint jobs so far! But they kinda get better each one you do! Shooting light green next week and maybe rendition of 1/1 scale of my surf board on the hood!!!:toothy10:
Won't Fern just totally SCREEM Indiana! LOL!!:happy10:

Yeah, I used to watch grandma do her copper bottom pots on spegetti night!
I usually follow up on the stubborn areas on the light contact points by lightly rubbing with 2000 grit sand paper, respring the 2 brass spring contacts on the sockets for the bulbs too!!
Now as blind as I am I should be able to see at night!8)

Thanks HemiPar!8)

A little to much paint fumes yesterday. Take it easy there. Don't let the dogs get a whiff of any.

Ok, Carona! Not paint fumes.
I just meant that the top looked like a cammo duck blind!!8)

Visual: Me & Yard Dawg drive down in Fern (without front & back windshields) to the bottoms along the Ohio river and park wth engine running, heater on, radio (that I'm still not used to having) on & listening to football game.........

QUACK QUACK QUACK from overhead, Me in front & Yard Dawg in back stand up through the openenings and BLAMBLAMBLAMBLAM!!! Then send Vinnie & Lex to track em & bring em back!!!

It would work! & be comfy!! (If I only duck hunted!!)

Not much done but took most of the day to finish cleaning the front and rear gaskets, what a total pain!!!
Took BOF's dash pad out, it was not the 67 1 year only correct one. So I swapped it over to Fern today! What do you think?
I think it's just enough black to break up all the dang green. Besides it was the correct style for Fern and was already done!
I will do the 67 one for BOF with black foe osterage again, that way they will both be year correct!
Not many pics. Will be installing inst. cluster tomarrow. Junk yard visit for sure to pick up windshield & different side markers, wonder what they'll look like! Finish small details for prep of both glass install Wed. Then back to body work and interior reassembly.
Saaaaaaaaalute!

I'll probibly redo Ferns in green some other time, like next summer!!
