Reduce it, use correct pressure and overlap 1/3 of your first pass. Relax by whatever means, limit distractions, dont shoot scared and lay that .... on!

You can purchase the felt wheels at any good-quality auto parts store or even Home Depot. Im not a rouge(stick) polishing guy so I use chrome polish with good results. To lessen the mess, pour polish lightly on the wheel while spinning with hand, rub it in and have your piece of chrome pushed up...

I once shot Rustoleum on a 63 Buicks roof. Reduce it with Acetone and shoot it. I paint professionally now but I would shoot Rustoleum for that. Its messy, sticky and takes a while to dry. Good luck!

If your using HOK basecoat I would use their CC also. It has great UV qualities. Years ago I used a cheap clear over HOK candy and it faded in a year.

From a painters point of view, I have never run across a car completely prepped, ready to spray. You may think its ready, but its not. 5-10 hours for final prep, 5-10 hours for masking (properly) 1 hr. getting in the zone, 2-4 hours painting and clearing. It adds up quickly. Dont get your hopes...

I always use etching primer when coating bare metal(chrome to aluminum) Its mildly acidic so it etches itself to the metal, hence, ETCHing primer. I tend to use CUUDA's method, a coat of etch-prime to bite into the bare metal and go from there. Without it, your flake factor could increase. Good...

Nevermind guys, I searched "clunk" and got all the answers.

1973 DDS 340, 727, 8 3/4, auto on the tree. When I shift from park to reverse, or from drive to reverse I get a loud CLUNK. Would that be tranny, motor mounts or something else? Thanx.

The SEM brand works well. As ToolmanMike says- prep is everything.
