    1966 Barracuda Restoration Project

Great looking project and progress. That cowl job sure looked like major, major surgery. I'm considering a 65 that needs a floor and cross member. Is there any way I can tell if the inner cowl is shot too?

    Depression

May I suggest going to see a naturopath? I don't believe doctors know enough about depression to prescribe meds. Not only that, there are natural remedies and ways of preventing and controlling depression. Changing environment (social and physical) diet and exercise can all have tremendous...

    Miilermatic 185......

good point, can you make the wire slip when it is feeding out of the gun? How do you know you have the tension set up correctly?

    Miilermatic 185......

Did you cut your liner too short or could the feeder tube between the drive roll and the whip be missing? Is the whip pushed in all the way? Something is causing your wire to be able to give somewhere

new guy considering buying a 65 valiant

Thanks...yes, I would give my eye teeth for a Cali car!! I just dont have the cash or means to transport one 3900 kms/2500 miles back here. I'd be there in a heartbeat! If its toast underneath, I'll leave it there. I know that any rust is really 3-5 times worse once you open it up

new guy considering buying a 65 valiant

I've been in contact but have yet to see it. Owner says the car is savable and is letting it go because he has too many projects. I'm hoping to go tomorrow and will take photos if I do. If I decide to pass, I will let you know.

    Welder good deal or not

Never heard of it before. Someone mentioned TSC as a Hobart supplier. I've noticed the TSC near me has really stepped up their inventory on machines, consumables and welding/fabricating tools. Hobart is a very good brand, its Miller's econo line now. (farm and hobby line) In my opinion as a...

    Welder good deal or not

Sounds like that's a flux core only machine. (Says optional conversion kit avail). Flux core has its purposes around the farm, but not suitable for bodywork or more precision work. The Thermal Arc 3in1 welder line are the best thing since sliced bread. If you ever want to learn how to TIG weld...
