This is never a good thing, hopefully it'll be rebuilt.

Looks worse than it probably is. I'd fix it!

First rule of the internet:

ALWAYS screw with the camera, instead of searching for fire extinguishers or hoses

Whoa...I would have my shirt, jacket..pants..socks...underwear off beating that flame out...

Same color as mine....except for the chared additon...lol

Looks like a fuel fire. Someone did some shoddy work to that car and cost it "its" Life.

The fuel line from the pump grounded out on the Alternator + Stud??

I had an engine fire on my 70 Challenger and I beat the flames out with my arms. I had on my older brother's Army jacket 2 sizes too big but the floppy sleeves did the trick!

Start looking at old cars for sale on Ebay and you find tons of stuff like that.

Doesn't look like it got too far past the firewall, that's a good thing. Does look like the inner fenders got hot enough to be annealed, that's no good. Definitely gonna need a hood and inner fenders, plus all the wiring and a bunch of engine work. Might get away with reusing the front fenders, looks like there's still paint on the frame rails so no worries there.

I always carry some kind of fire extinguisher in my cars. If you can get on it fast enough you can save a lot of headache.

I guess my first question is.....is it a REAL AAR???

Dang that sucks!

I would of been throwing snow on that sucker like a mad man if that was my car.

Here's some cars I found on Ebay.

Big bux for this one. I don't think it's a good idea to run rubber fuel line between the block, waterpump, and alternator like this. Unless maybe is was secured with brackets to keep it from touching anything.

Probably not a good idea to have your fuel line lying on top of you high tension coil wire and a few plug wires?? :-&

I guess you could always run your fuel line of the other side of a big block motor then lay it on the hot water pump to avoid those spark plug wires??

Oh heck. Just run a electric fuel pump and run the fuel line from the back of the motor. Securing the rubber fuel line with insulated clamps is using your noggin'.... Oh wait, you want to add a electronic ignition. But you've seen everyone else mount them on the firewall. Bummer, that's right where you ran your fuel line. Dammit you say. :banghead:

Wait, problem solved! Put the ignition box in the path of the fuel line but pinch the fuel line between the ignition box and the hot sharp metal clamp for the heater hose. Yey, problem solved.

Gotta love stupid. Keep an abc fire ext in your car.

Your an idiot if you run than that much rubber fuel line anywhere on the car. It's a fire waiting to happen.

What do you think the chances are this guy has rubber fuel line all the way back to the electric pump???

The way he was standing there just taking pics I would suspect ins fraud may be involved. If it were mine it would have been pure panic doing whatever was needed to get the fire out.

I would say if your prize mopar is on fire, you wouldnt be taking pictures. I think you would be shaking like a leaf, and then trying to get your size 12 shoe of your own nut sack for not having an extinguisher.

I keep an ABC extinguisher laying on the floorboard behind the driver's seat. It's 18 pounds I'll never mind adding to the car.

I dont know if anyone else noticed but it looks like a fire extinguisher was used. Looks like white powder on the windshield, roof and deck lid. What do you think?
