    Champion Alum Radiators, anyone?

I, too, am running a Champion radiator in my Dart, and it's cooling an 11:1 390CID stroker that makes a bit less than 500HP at the crank. I regularly drive it on the street, and I frequently race the car. I'd recommend them to anyone.

    choosing correct shocks

I run the SS leaf springs and QA1 single adjustables out back with a 26x9.5 drag radial, and I can get it to hook pretty well. I've gone 1.7 in the 60' on a soft launch.

    nitrous plate system

Jacobs Nitrous Mastermind is what I use to control it. It has adjustable dial controls for the initial N2O hit, Full N2O flow, Rev Limiter, and Timing retard up to 10 degrees. The problem is that ACCEL now makes that controller, and I wouldn't trust ACCEL as far as I could throw them.

Potentials of a 5.2 Magnum Motor

I bought a new timing cover, and accessories when I put the Magnum into my Dart. It wasn't too tough at all.

Potentials of a 5.2 Magnum Motor

OK. I've never run across that issue. The crank snout is the same for the LA and Magnum, so any balancer will fit as far as I know.

Potentials of a 5.2 Magnum Motor

Sure you're not talking about a "poly" 318? That's not an LA.

Potentials of a 5.2 Magnum Motor

The crank pulleys are the same bolt pattern for the Magnum and LA.

Potentials of a 5.2 Magnum Motor

No problem! I ran into that whole debacle when I did the swap. I had all the LA accessories for the Dart, and swapping it to a Magnum presented a few unique issues. I had to get rid of the Maggy timing cover, water pump, and accessory cradle, then I bought a March billet pulley and bracket kit...

Potentials of a 5.2 Magnum Motor

The Magnum and LA timing coves are different, though, because of the water pump rotation being opposite from each other. (LA = Clockwise, Magnum = CCW) I am running LA accessories on my Magnum in the Dart.

Do think three "unrestored" A-Bodies are worth $175K?

I'd use a GTS because I always wanted a GTS. "Clone" is the wrong term for what I'd like to build, though. It would be a GTS with a 426 swap. What's your definition of "cheap"? Just a quick search returned nothing I consider cheap...

Do think three "unrestored" A-Bodies are worth $175K?

LOL! True. If I could find a decent '68 GTS for a good price, I would sell my '70 in a heartbeat and build a clone out of it.

Agree 100% I would kill to get my hands on a '68 Hemi Dart survivor.

    Degenerative Disc Disease

When I saw my orthopedic doc, he basically said the same thing: "Wait until you can't take it anymore because a fusion is a major undertaking, and it will have an effect on the discs above the joint."

    Degenerative Disc Disease

Have they talked to you about a spinal stimulator implant? My orthopedic doctor doesn't want to do a fusion yet because of the same basic reasons, and I have been looking into it. The only thing I don't like about the idea is that they have to go back into your back once every 5 years or so to...

    Degenerative Disc Disease

We're saying the exact same thing. If you use them as they're intended to be used, and don't abuse them, they aren't as harmful as they're made out to be. They're not good for you by any means. My doctor has me get blood work done a few times per year, and the primary reason is LFT's. You...

    Degenerative Disc Disease

Totally agree with the part about Vicodin/opioid painkillers. If they're used properly, they don't present any more "danger" than anything else does. It's the abuse potential, and people taking them to get high instead of their intended use that gives them a bad name.

    Degenerative Disc Disease

I've also got DDD in my lumbar spine. I had a lumbar laminectomy in 2007 to repair a herniated disc, and it has now herniated again in the same spot along with the L4-L5, and L5-S1 joints collapsing. I am having an MRI on Thursday, and I am going to speak with a neurosurgeon at the end of the...
