No,I miked them out,they both are standard bore.

The 67 block is a 430 casting with a date code of 10*11*66.Pad says C 440 12-30.The 68 block is also a 430 casting and has the date of 4*1*68. Pad says D 440 6-7.There is also an upside down A? under the 440 on the pad.Anyone know what this means?

Oops.2 of the blocks have been tanked and magged.The 68 and the 76 400.Hence surface rust.Both checked out good. Hard to get good pix in a basement.

Heres some pictures.Sorry if the lighting is bad.These are all GOOD standard bore blocks.One pic shows the chip in the lifter valley of the 68 block.Any rust on the blocks is slight surface rust.Same with cylinders,no pits. Like to move this stuff.

I assume you are speaking of compressed thickness.Gaskets do compress when torqued on.

count the number of ring gear teeth.Count the number of pinion gear teeth..Divide.

Standard stroke steel crank 400 will make some serious ponies with good aftermarket parts.I guess strokers are the big rage these days though.

Nothing wrong with a motor plate.You could use angle iron with a heavy rubber between the frame and the angle iron.
