Oh ya it's a automatic 727 transmission. 440 duster

I currently have a b&m unimatic shifter installed in my duster so it already has the look. But I'm wainting a nice hurst pistol grip. Has anyone on here ever adapted the hurst shifter on the b&m base? I've seen it once before but now can't seem to find the link to the write up.

nope just passenger side, the downpipe on my exauhst was a little tricky though since i did my exauhst in my garage at home and the driver side flange comes down at a weird angle.

whats up scamptramp, your best bet is the lokar flexible one. i tried both car and truck non flex ones and was just a pain in the azz, save the headache and go with the lokar

yes the nut goes all the way down to the case. i had the same problem when i put mine in ended up finding a piece of the old dipstick broken off in the hole stopping it from going in all the way.

mine did the same thing with the trans adapt mounts i shimmed it level too. i ended up grinding the flange a bit. no biggie

Your lean on the primary circuit my 440 was doing the same thing I jetted up and it went away. Normal driving is good then u floor it and the carb starts spitting back and wearily moves right?

Is it timed at top dead center on the compression stroke on cyl #1? It's easy to get mixed up and put it 180 degrees out and set it up for #6. I've done it and it was doing the same thing idle ok then choke out as I put it in gear.

Neutral saftey switch can heave the same effect I believe. Run a jumper to the spot on your relay and ground it out. Car would run if I kept my hand on the start position but would die after realeasing. Just a thought

Nope the cams straight up dot to dot. Readings were with my edelbrock dual plane. If that means anything lol

It has to be something that comes into play while the motor has load on it from driving.

Initial is at 20 btdc. I noticed I have to push down on the center of the valley pan a bit to get it to line up with the heads. I used a little bit of sealant on the bottom side of the ports like the instructions told me too. Standard 440 distributor from a old smogged 440 I had.

It doesn't seem to matter what speed I'm going if I'm easy on the throttle it will go threw the gears and drive like normal. Wether at 5mph or 20 or 30 if I lay into it it spits and pops through the carb. But when I'm sitting in my garage I can snap the throttle and it's clean and crisp.
