    If you haven't started on the 79 yet I'd go 360 Magnum junkyard motor with RPM air gap and 770 street avenger and never look back. My 96 Mag made just over 400 TQ and 308 HP at flywheel with nothing more than that.

    6 lbs is a good preasure setting for a Holley. 7 lbs and higher pressure can overpower the float even with carb sitting stationary. If you have 6 lbs the entire pass you have plenty of fuel waiting to come in. Im just guessing that you're using a Holley style carb.

    Id go the single 3" with a good muffler. A lot easier since the fuel tank is in the way and you'd have to run both pipes to passenger side anyways.

    D100 is a good sleeper. I had a completely stock 96 5.9 in a D150. It would run 13.80's all day hot lapping it all you wanted to. First time it went to the track the difference between slowest and fastest pass was .09 Bracket racing beauty.

    I use a Aeromotive street rod pump 150gph dead headed with 1/2 line to feed both carb and fuel solenoid on my daily driver pickup. -6 is fine but id buy a different pump.

    Call your speed shop of choice and get MSD timing tape set 8985. Use top dead center finder to find true 0 on balancer. Then just put correct length timing tape on balancer and say goodbye to unknown ignition timing. Remember to remove advance springs and replace with e-clips or such while...
