EFI ready Small Block intakes ???

I'm planning on putting a 5.2/5.9 Magnum engine into an earlier vehicle. The factory "beer barrel" intake leaves a lot to be desired, not the least of which is appearance. I'm aware of the common mods, shortening the runners, etc. Also, Utawesome's mods including using the V10's 108mm throttle...

    1990 Dakota 2.5/ 5spd manual A535/NP2500 gear ratio ?

QUOTE I would like to see someone put this behind a 4bbl 273 tho. I think it would be soooo much fun with say; 3.55s ENDQUOTE And I'm pulling all the parts together to do just that. As "lightweight" of a transmission as it is, it shouldn't break if the vehicle is traction limited. A nephew and...

1965 MMP's Barracuda Hemi swap! The Ever Changing Build

I know you had showed your boy's livery and color choices for the car. It would be kinda cool to paint it in the Group 44 colors. They were some fantastic cars and competitors. Mike(y) B SO grateful to be back in OR after WAY too long!

1965 MMP's Barracuda Hemi swap! The Ever Changing Build

Oops... Yes, I did mean camber, typed caster by accident. And yes, I also meant the half shafts, which are, in effect, the "upper arms". Didn't realize there are lower strut arms (rods?) yet to go. I did know you still have to make the upper shock mounts. Anyhow, it is still a fantastic job...

1965 MMP's Barracuda Hemi swap! The Ever Changing Build

Just found your thread and read through the whole thing last night... wonderful job. I, too, have always wanted to do an IRS on an A-bdy (especially an early A-bdy, 63-66 Dart). Just before moving from FL back to OR after 13 years, I was offered and had to pass on a Jag IRS for $100. (Charlotte...

    65 Valiant swap 273 to a 360

AND... Did you know??? Two more items here. It is easy peasy to swap an A-bdy 727 tail housing and output shaft onto a B/C/E/truck/van 727. Yes, you MAY have to massage to floor and/or firewall pinch weld a bit to make it fit, but it will. Imperial Services makes, or at least did make, a cable...

    65 Valiant swap 273 to a 360

And, 2nd issue, since I didn't read the thread all the way through, is that your 273 torque convertor WILL work with the 360. Agreed, the 273 is neutral balance and the 360 is not, all you need to do is buy a 360 spec balance torque convertor plate from Summit, or anywhere else. Mike (still...

    65 Valiant swap 273 to a 360

Hey Liz, Haven't been on here in quite some time. Hadn't seen this thread before. On Tuesday, call Wildcat Mopars at 503-668-7786 on Tuesday. For only $20, they always have a few of the machined adapter rings that mate the smaller center torque convertor register of the early 904's to the later...

Need help and info to help out my autistic son with his project

I have been told that the Schumacher Tri-Y's will drop into an early A-bdy big block car. But I don't have proof of that. Another, and very inexpensive option (people will give you a set for free and although not great for exhaust flow) is to use a set of earlier big block "log type" exhaust...

Is a 5.2 Magnum nuetral balanced?

Pulling all the parts together to put a '98 5.2 in my F/B. If I run the SMPI, I know I need either the specific Magnum flexplate or flywheel. But, if I decide to go carburated, will my existing factory nuetral balance flexplate or flywheel work? Thnx, Mike in FL

Using mustang rotors for 4.5" bc

Hetman, I haven't used them myself, but have seen the SSBC disc brake conversion for use on (I believe) the 10" drum brake spindle. They look like a quality product. IIRC, they can be had in either SBP or BBP configuration. If I had the money, I would consider them myself. On the other hand...

[WANTED] Need, in FL, 64 Valiant panels

Hi All, Looking for a '64 Valiant driver's side fender, 64-65 front valance and 64 driver's side quarter panel. Hopefully someone in FL has what I need. I'm in Sarasota County (SW FL). I know a '65 fender will work, but the character line is different. Not sure about the '63 fender...

    Side Shot Saturday

The "frog cars" are the '60 - '62 Valiants and Lancers (more so the Valiants). The '63 - '66 Valiants and Darts (this is either a '63 or '64) are not "frogs", but more appropriately known as "early A's". And yes, I love them (both of them) as well. Mike in FL

    Magnum engines in A-bdy ???

    Magnum engines in A-bdy ???

I do want to keep all the stock multi-port components, but I do want the drivability of a dual plane. I know the beer barrel intake falls on its face by about 4500 RPM because my DD is a Dakota. IMO, a dual plane is a better all around solution, giving good low end torque, while still pulling...

    Magnum engines in A-bdy ???

Hi all, I just scored a low miles 5.2 Magnum from a rolled '98 Durango. I plan to install it in my '67 F/B to replace the tired 273. I intend to keep the serpentine belt set-up, but really want to replace the beer barrel intake. Please give me suggestions for EFI-ready dual plane intakes...

    65 Valiant resto mod.

Late to the party, but here now... LOL I know its an early 361 because of the 4 bolt valve covers. What you wrote sounds like you built it right. It definitely looks very tight in the engine compartment, expecially to the steering shaft. Curious as to which exhaust manifolds you used. What...

Production turbo header. big block A body. any interest?

I agree. I'd be interested in small block headers, for numerous reasons. Packaging isn't the least of those issues. I'd love to turbo the 273 in my '67 FB, maybe even step all the way up to a 318! LOL Mike in FL

    Dart Race car pics ?

Thnx for the pic Ted. Got any others? Yeah, that is what I'm looking for, a take on the Mopar Kit Car, but with any earlier than '67 A-bdy. Since I don't have any Volare/Aspens, Dusters/Demons/Dart Sports or E-bdys hanging around, I guess I'll hafta work with what I got. To the naysayers...

    Dart Race car pics ?

Still looking for pics, please... SSBA, you gotta understand that this '64 is already trashed. Just think of it as one of the one of the more "involved" projects taken on by the Graveyard Cars crew. And I'm not planning on taking it the dirt or short track. I'm just looking for the that...

    Dart Race car pics ?

Hi all, I'm looking for pics of '63-66 Dart race cars. Specifically dirt track, circle track, bomber cars. I have a '64 GT in really rough shape. I could bring it back, but I'd be money and time ahead to follow up on other leads I have. I don't want to just trash the 52 year old shell I...

Rapom's Rocket - just another Duster build thread

Hey Rapom, I've been enjoying watching your build. Dick Ross is a good guy, and has great products. I can vicariously say that I have a teeny hand in some of whats in Firm Feel's catalogue. Anyhow, what is the designed in caster setting for the tube upper arms? The last time I was able...
