All I see on eBay are the solid rubber weatherstripping for the A body trunks. My '73 has the hollow weatherstripping, but needs to be replaced. Where can I get the hollow style trunk weatherstripping ? Thanks in advance Trevor

+X on the prep work. I think I used brake cleaner or acetone or something prior to using a 'vinyl dye spray' and it's held up pretty well for ~ 10 years. Every year I do 1-2 mins of touch ups and I am golden. Cheers and good luck !

I've used an old Shop vac hose. I bought a new one at Home Depot for $20 and the old one worked fine. I think it was 2 1/2" diameter, so it fit insdie the dash vents and outside the small heater box outlet. I did have to cut and seal for the larger outlet. Cheers Trevor

Hey gang, I am putting the interior back in my 73 Duster and I see I am missing the nut that holds the passenger side rear seat belt retractor assemblt in place. It appears to be a fine thread, but I've tried every size nut I can find / think of and they are either too big or too small...

mtn jake - it took about a year once I got serious. I changed the motor, replaced clutch, brakes, sway bar , power steering, springs, etc etc. You just have to decide you are going to finish it and devote some time. I have 2 little ones at home, so it can be hard to find the time ! Coyote...

My rule of thumb - if it hasn't folded in half - it is saveable. All I had to do were front floor pans in my 73 Duster, but once I had those out, I could see that it wouldn't be the end to half to replace the torsion bar crossmember, rear pans, etc. http://www.autorust.com/ is your friend :)...

Hey gang, I fired up the Duster after installing the PS and I have no power assist. My pump is from an 81 Lebaron that was working fine when removed. The box is the unknown element. There are no leaks. Fluid is moving somewhere, as I filled the pump reservoir twice while it was running...

Halifax NS here too. Grew up in Northern NS though. When I first got my Duster, it developed a bit of a reputation up that way. I can't wait to finish my 'mid life recapitalization' and take it back there for a cruise >:) Anyway - nice to see a few bluenosers on here Cheers Trevor...

*sigh* I have most of the receipts from my Duster - had it almost 15 years - but I won't add them up - I'm scared to see what it would be ;) I do keep all the receipts for all my cars. People seem to apprecaite it when it comes time to sell them - they can see that they were dilgently...

Hmm - should be ok. I *think* the only difference in 360 oil pans is the 'centre' and 'rear' sumps. Rear sumps were found on truck engines. Was the 360 that went in the charger out of a truck ? Good luck

I also got a quote from NOS just yesterday - $185 + shipping, but it is the ACC carpet as well. So far, no one has had much luck with ACC, so I might try and hold out for a Trim Parts. Thanks for the feedback guys. Even though its a driver, I don't want carpet problems ina few years...

Got a quote from Nationalmoparts - $195 + 20 or so shipping. It is the ACC carpet, so I might do a little research first on this fading thing. I think some other outfit in Ontario quoted me $230 a year or so ago...... Trevor
