    REALLY? BROKEN FLYWHEEL?

I don’t want to steal your thread. I feel your pain. We have a 2005 Hemi Durango all real drive with 78,000 miles. I got hell of a deal since sunroof leaked and it flooded the car. Was great for a couple years after ripping out interior and kill the mold. So driving along and like it was shifted...

Ticking Noise Coming From Transmission Driving Me Crazy

I am with Trailbeast that it is the converter. Maybe broken fins bouncing around in side. You said car feels heavy taking off thats why I think its a converter problem.

Mcleods 5 speed at SEMA and info update

Well reading Mopar Muscle and again said Mcleod again had 5 speed at Sema for Mopar that was ready for release. I emailed Mcleod and asked if it had been released. Got normal answer summer 2015 and the ouput shaft would be same as TH400 or T10. Next told me the Mopar transmission mount won't...

    8.8 swap

The thing I don't like about 8.8 is axles are held in by C clips. This makes it easy to run disk brakes because no adjuster on axle. The bad thing is if you break axle it comes out as it held in by C clip at the end of axle.

this came out of my bellhousing when i tore the transmission off

X2 Clean everything up good and inspect parts. Looks to be part of front bear cover. Someone replaced with blue cover and didn't clean out blown parts stuck in the sludge.

what is the best overdrive transmission for a Duster

It's not a perfect option but better than 1:1. I don't think the gear vendor is a lot better. The 200R4 is probably going to be the easiest since OP is running a automatic. I just thought this might work and no major tunnel mods. :D

    stiff clutch pedal help

It may be the pedal is binding. Disconnect the linkage from the clutch fork and check for binding. A little grease makes a difference. You can also modify linkage and zbar to make it a little easier.

Help ! Can I remove the trans, but not the converter ?

Strange how some people ask for advice from members then ignore every word. Why ask if you don't want to do things the right way? JMO.

    What did I hurt now?

    Leaking 8 3/4

Hard to believe there is any lube left inside lol. I would pressure wash it first so it is a little easier to find the leak. Then I would pull the pig and drain the lube, clean the gasket surface. Replace seal if needed and use silicone sealer with out gasket as it seals better. Good luck with it.

    Another bent driveshaft thread

    Another bent driveshaft thread

Was the tube itself really bent or was one of the ends weld on crooked? I seems to me if the tube was bent it would be junk. You would think a shop that builds driveshafts would check runout before they shipped. You said slip yoke stuck out a little far is it possible that it was sloppy and...

    Steel bellhousing for A833

Here is a quick time bell housing for small block. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/qti-rm-6070 I think that all small blocks use a 10.5 inch clutch 131 tooth flywheel. Big blocks use 11 inch clutch 143 tooth flywheel.

Question on Gearvendors overdrive . Is it a basic bolt in operation for a

From what I heard GV only wants to deal with people that buy from them. So if you buy used and need parts you are screwed. Think you need to dimple the floor board to make it fit.
