What is the best primer to use with this ? I'm assuming single stage means you don't need to clear coat it.Correct ?

The first pic is the quarter glass seal. The roof rail seal does not cover the vent wing pictured in the second pic.That seal is called the auxilary vent window seal. Go to Just Mopars to find what you need.

I second this place.Very reasonable.

I prefer painted bumpers on some cars and chrome on others.I like yours painted.Some of these guys are so old fashioned they still have dial phones:):):)

Just my opinion but I would get it in good shape mechanically and drive it till it dropped.In my eyes it's not worth spending the money to fix the body.

Eastwood sells good products...I bought my epoxy primer from them .Cost me little over $ 100.00 shipped to my door. Haven't shot it yet but have read good reviews. They sell on E-Bay if you want to go that route.

For now I'm leaning body color. If I don't like it I'll cross that bridge when I get to it. Thanks for the remarks...even from the ones who find it easy to advocate spending money you don't have because " cars aren't cheap":smile::smile:

Thanks guys....these are pretty beat up and need some straightening to use. Might just paint them for now and do as suggested and look for better ones down the road. This is a back yard resto -mod so new rechromed just can't be justified. I kinda like the idea of leaving the front one off on it.

I'm doing a mild resto-mod on My 64 Dart GT. All the chrome and stainless is in good shape and will polish up nice except for the bumpers. The car is going to be painted white and it's just not in the budget to get the bumpers rechromed. Do I paint them body color or a contrasting color? If...

Paint the core support black also. Looks great by the way.
