    1971 Dodge Demon Value

You do realize your asking seasoned veterans here who have been burned more than once and are probably on the stingy side to start with because they know how much $ they've shelled out for these cars over the years. That's your $4-5k figure. Now on Clist to a young guy with less overall...

After 2 long years, 1st start up!!! (Video)

You'll be fine on the cam. Wouldn't worry about it. Been hammerin mine since break in and it's great. Just break it in correctly and you'll be fine. So much fear these days about cam failure. Get a quality cam, use the right oil, make sure your engine is ready and break it in correctly and your...

Shoot after you change the break in oil hammer that sucker! It's what it's for, your gonna like the Whiplash cam. Mine in my 360 pulls great vacuum too and has bonkers torque and throttle response! Doesn't pull to 7000 or anything but with stock valve springs in my stock heads and 9.0:1...

    Performance cam

Yea, the cam isn't your issue! Take the car to a reputable mechanic and have them tune it! Or atleast check your timing and pull some plugs and read 'em! Definately don't waste time changing cams! That's a nice cam that's in it and well matched for a nice. 318 street engine. It's all about...

    b-body rearend in a-body

Others that have done it will chime in however I do believe that the best fit is a 66-67 B body rear. Bolts right in I'm told. Again just sharing that nugget of info. Good luck....I'm sure others will chime in. As far as driveshaft I. Not 100% sure.

    The time has come....

Very cool....good luck! I remember you had a 70 Coronet a few years ago right? I was interested in buying it off you at the time. What ever happened to it? I actually wish Imwould have bought it instead of my 67 Dart I ended up buying. Paid too much for it but it was local to me and easier...

Go Wing or No wing on a 72 Demon 340

Took mine off the Duster ASAP and sold it! Looks cleaner and I always thought they looked "gimmicky" and out of place on these A bodies but if your car came with one I understand wanting to keep it on....but I would not add one. $ better spent elsewhere besides they only add 20hp....:burnout:

    new battery

If you have a "Batteries Plus" store near you, they have a nice all black battery for about $50. You can even peel the stickers off the sides and put a Mopar sticker on it of your choosing and it looks nice, almost like it belongs there for cheap...the black Mopar Performance stickers look best...

    What type of engine oil

Running a flat tappet hydraulic cam? If yes (and if not just for good measure) you need an oil with the right Zinc content. I run Hughes Racing Engines oil in my 340. It's got the Zinc additive in it. Or you can buy bottles of additive to add to your oil. There are other good oils w/ zinc too...

    I found the Original Owner

Thanks for sharing the story. I love hearing these tales... My vote would be for "period correct" on the resto. Especially since you have pics from back in the day! If you had the original engine, then I'd lean more toward a OEM resto maybe. Just my opinion though... Post pics when you can...

    Cheap 340 Demon?

Man, sweet score! That's the Halloween edition! Those are hard to find...too bad they did what they did to the interior. You can always change it back I suppose but they are only original once! Post some pics! Last Halloween edition I saw was at Southern Motors in Detroit and I believe they...

    Hughes Engines 426" Magnum smallblock...yummy!

You guys are missing the point! Blow away the other guy with your Hemi and pop the hood, no surprise! Really cool (especially in an A-body) but still. No surprise. Imagine the look of shame and total defeat on his face when you show him your little Magnum smallblock (ok, it's got a Victor...
