    Follow the output wire from the alternator to the fire wall pass thru. I'd bet a beer that you have a poor connection, Either at the firewall. or somewhere between the alt and firewall. Look close at the outside of the plastic on the firewall connector, there usually melted slighty cause mopar...

    Try Permatex.. Stripped thread repair, Just Google it, simple n cheap fix.

    Break-in oil choices

    I just broke in my 360, I used rotella 15w-40 and the comp cams break in lube. Main thing is just having the zinc in there to protect the cam lobes. I fired mine for 15 min @1800-2000 rpm.

    Deep oil pan?

    If you have the Fabrication Skills, a stock pan will do. Cut it all the way around, about 2" above the drain hole. Weld in a 2" wide piece, in between the halves. Presto instant 7 Qt Pan. Imo, its the cheapest way too. Dont forget to get the longer pickup. My .02 Eric

    Look at the intake to head bolts, next to the water ports. Guaranteed one bolt is leaking past the threads. Ask Me, How I know :angry7: I did a temp fix with RTV

    Start again with a fresh mind .. Set #1 on TDC.. Check your distributor rotor pointing at #1 wire. If the plugs are getting spark/gas at all it shoud give a sign of life.

    I'll second that ! Unless it's strictly a "drag" car I'd stay with rubber mounts and add a torque strap on left side of engine.

    Ditto, lay headers in engine compartment, drop motor in, dont forget the centerlink/pitman arm may be in the way. Sorry to tell ya it's the only way I know :thumbup:

    Just Curious here.... I vote for the 360/904 combo. That's how I'm building mine.. I think the BB puts too much weight up front. A well built 360/904 with a converter surely should push an 3200lb a-body to a 10.5 ET run... After that you need a competition license, Dont ya? And at that ET...

    Hey guys, finally got the casting numbers off my heads. I found 3418915C and 04160 for #'s. So far I know they are J heads from a 340? I think? Maybe someone can give me a more difinative answer. Any pro's con's to these heads on a 360? Thanks, Eric
