    My .02, I have had better luck using the Ultra Black RTV on the intake, its designed to seal oil better than the red. I save the red for the header gaskets.

    Compression test only at 90 psi max, timing chain off?

    How much run time on the motor? Did you try a leak down test? Do you know the compression ratio? 75 psi should be enough to fire gas, the thing I see that stands out is the pressure difference between holes.

    If you pull the valve cover you may be able to see the head gasket pushed into the motor. Look between the oil return holes where the block and head meet. Its a narrow part of the head gasket, and its where I had problems. I would also check the valves as stated. Good luck

    Looks like the alt. is loose in the video. Its doing the same as mine when I pushed the head gasket into the motor. A compression and leak down test should be high on the list of whats next.

    I know this is wayyyyyy outside the box but have you checked the header gaskets. I have heard knocking noise come from leaking header gaskets.

    I have R/R both ways from the top and from the bottom. I like to drop the car on the motor and trans. When I did a top drop with the motor I used the 3/8" holes in the front and rear face of the heads and a chain. I would use the carb plate for a top drop if I didn't have a six pack.

    Update: Over one month with copper gaskets and two trips to the track, 7 nitrous runs, no leaks or blown gaskets. Its nice to return from the track and not have a problem. Now on to getting a better 60' time. Thanks for all the help.

    The pistons look good, the spark plugs are Autolite #403 and are like new. the only difference is the exhaust valves on the front cylinders have a lighter color on them like their running leaner than the rear.
