Been curious about these also. The kid needs one for his '72 Duster, waiting to see what he does. He wants to get it running this summer but don't know how complete it will be. Maybe he'll let us know if they are worth it.

Look up towards the front of the car. On the front corners there will be 2 round glass things. These are headlights. Now look kinda in the middle of them, about half way in between and you should find the center. Hope this helps. I'm sorry, just couldn't resist. Have you tried...

I talked to the club pres., she said that there were 20 less cars this year. She thought it might be gas prices that kept some home. No cars from Cal. this year. Did have the one Cuda drive down from Alaska.

Not that I know of, wish we could find these things out. Wouldn't think that very many with that combination were made. Of the 8,834 4spds maybe 4 or 5, or 1. Way,way, cool! Don't see very many V02 cars. You should start a registry of '69 Swingers and gather more info.

SWEET! T3 W1 D2T T3. T3= light bronze metallic body. W1=white top (painted). D2T= interior- D=deluxe, 2=bench vinyl, T=saddle tan. T3-upper door frame paint=light tan. #s stamped on panrail pad should match the V.I.N. except that the LM23 will be missing and I think the B and 9 will be transposed. There will be some #s on the side of the block and front below the head on driver side. Get all the info you can.

Sometimes the #s are kinda hard to read. The V.I.N. on the dash usually has a has a dead bee covering part of it. Fender tags have thick paint, rust, or dents that make it hard to tell what they say. Car could have been painted and not had stripe put back on if it's a Swinger 340 (LM). Don't...

Where are we getting the #s from? If you can, check the fender tag or broadcast sheet. Are we sure about the LH? I think it might be LM. Or, could the P9 really say B9 or F9? Never heard of a LH with a 340. The only way to get a 340 was with a LM or LS. Think it might be an LM by the torque...

Looks kinda like yellow paint on there, that's a good sign. It should have a "602" stenciled in yellow on pass. side. Part of the V.I.N. should be on the machined pad with some other #s. 2949065 is right for the radiator. That's a good looking car.

J is for 1973. The other numbers tell what day it was put together, and if it was the 15th or 39th engine put together that day.

Nic, it makes a diference where the #s line up under the letters but, I think we can get most of them. '66 Polara, 4dr Hdtp, 383-4bbl, torqueflite, low trim grade blue bench seat, light/medium blue, built Oct. 6, 1965. Have fun with it. Ray

The rest of the #s tell you what day the engine was assembled and what # of the day. 2395 069 would be assembled Feb. 17, 1968 the 69th engine put together that day.
