I looked this up in my '66 Mopar parts book. It is part number 6001611 called a retainer & seal. It is used on '66 Valiant Signets and '66 Dart 270 models. I was not able to find other models that use it and I don't know about other model years.

I have never found those for sale unless they were used ones taken off a '66 Signet. That trim is also held on by a few threaded butterfly type and if there's access to install the nut those could be used. I don't think this one is wide enough but a similar item might work...

Yes bumpers and bumper brackets are the same. But both Valiant and Barracuda had optional bumper guards so that might be the only difference you might find between any two cars.

Wax will prevent water spots but won't eliminate all of them. It will help water run off but any area that has a drop that does not have a slope to run down could get them, especially if sitting in direct sunlight.

Some of the'66 Valiants could be ordered with a painted top. I think either black or white. Our family had one that was a burgundy (I think dark poly red officially) with a black painted top. So yes you can do it, even Chrysler did it.

Black & gold looks really good but the Citron gold is almost a green color so I say use the Bronze stripes.
