the interior looks nasty, terrible way to cover it up the way they displayed the car. That alone brings the price of that car down, judging soley on that display I'm sure the rest of the car is not as clean as the seller tries to portray. It's a toad for Pete's sake. Lawrence

no, it is a square spring steel clip that fits snuggly around the square regulator rod. it also fits tightly in a groove in said rod. I cannot find any pics---, the clip fits into the back side ofthe handle , it has a double piece of spring steel , that is why they are such a pain-- if you do...

not the half round clip which pop off easy this is a square spring steel clip that is a B**** to remove-- but the principle is the same. since you have the rears off look at the stud you should see the groove the clip fits in, I never had much luck with simple removal but did get them removed--...

65 is the last of the flat one sided key-- not sure if other years will work-- , call around there has to be an old locksmith that can do that in a jiffy. Especially if you tell him it is not an emergency. Try finding a key blank for that,, locally we have an old shop & the owner smiled...

one caveat--- do not cut the wiring-- the harness connections might be different between 66 & 65-- you have the necessary parts to make a good column-- really what you need is a 62-64 push button column-- it will have no selector levers & such for your ride, Lawrence

I ran 235 or 245 /60/14 on the rear of a 62 valiant with no issues once I installed new leaf springs(old ones would cause tire rub on bumps) There is a lot of room on the rear of those things-- much like a duster. Lawrence I believe 205/70/14 would rub on the front in a tight turn./

1965 column cables are special -- there should be some members who have dealt with this, it might be as simple as the routing of the cable in the column,, the adjustment procedure is also very particular. Take a deep breathe & keep plugging away do some searching & hopefully a knowledgeable...

you can expect to pay $100 for the metal early style grille , I ended up making a cover for the speaker hole, using a flat piece of metal, added a small curve & it fit nicely in the indentation.. I do not have any pictures ,Lawrence
