I saw one on the interstate yesterday and couldn't catch up to see what is was (no comment, I was driving my Honda). They look cool, I am interested in test driving.
It appears They have given in to "fun areas" (see the map on their site) due to a loss in parts venders. Some of that space could have been for the Barracuda with a special emphasis on Hemi Barracudas! duh!
I am steamed. I have been working my but off for several several years to put together an amazing display commemorating the 50th Anniversary of the Barracuda, which I think, may have influenced muscle car history more than any other car*. Their reasoning for not doing a tribute for the Barracuda...
The Barracuda is about to turn 50! I guess it was about this time of year back in 1963 that the engineers at Plymouth were scratching their heads trying to figure out what Ford was doing with a "fastback" that was rumored to be coming. So I guess it is time for all of us true Mopar, Plymouth...
This was an older resto by the owner who sold it to the dealer (I think he said estate car) It is a v-8 auto with working a/c. Runs and drives nice. NO rust to speak of. I can go check it out Friday afternoon.
When was the last time you were driving down the road and see a 1965 Barracuda on a used car lot? For me, it was today! $5000, SWEET!
In Alabaster,Alabama and I's be glad to check it out for anyone. Wish I had $5k!
How about an update...What other stuff do you need? Wheels, tires, are the brakes functional? A lot of us have stuff just sitting around and will help if we know what else is needed.
I have talked with different members on the phone, and I keep hearing people say, "Fab Oh" as the pronunciation. I always thought it was "Fay Bow". What do you say?
I am still deciding if I am going. But it would be nice if we had a list of where everyone will be set up at the Nats.
Include your FABO handle, first name (optional),and space Letter/Number. This will help us to find each other.
I'll start it off:
bamacuda, David, space (undecided)
I was at Wells Fargo today, and on the counter was a display for some services for college bound students. It had a picture of a young lady in a '64 Valiant! Cool!
I don't want to know exactly where anyone is,but to know regionally or say same state, or within say 200 miles of me would allow me to know who to build closer ties with for trading parts, attending shows or cruise-ins, that kinda thing...
