If its a metallic( which it looks like it is) you may have problems. Let er dry and try to sand the run out and see what you have.

IMRON was used alot on marine applications way back. Im sure theres some UV protection there. I painted my Honda Civic with it back in the early 90's and it looked great untill I got rid of it(dumb move) 8 years later.

Yes it will work. I used IMRON for years and it is one of the easiest paints to spray. I have never brushed it on more then small touch-up aread but it flows out nicely. Pot life sould be plenty to do what you are doing. At least 8 hours in the cup. We use to put small batches in a fridge over...

Those are to flange the edge of your patch so the existing metal overlaps the patch. Notice how the jaws have a small step up in them.

Do you know how to use a welder? Thats were id start. Drip rails can be fabed and welded in place. Here are some pics of my C pillar repair.

Thanks Paul, I have seen that article. I did a google search and came up empty for what exactly I need. I dont need to cut to decklid, the brackets screw into it. Its the nuts on the bracket that are in question. I should have looked at it better when I was at garlits. Thank you again for you time.

Thanks HAUK67. Mine will actually stay up on its own but if you bump it watch out. I was reading here about adjusting the tension and will check that out. I actually have it mounted but with shorter studs with big fender washers to help with the load but found a great deal on the brackets.

Need some help on whats needed to complete this. I have this picture I took(from the garlits car show, not my car) which helps me know I am still missing pieces to complete this. Do the screws thread into some type of adjusting nut at the bracket? And if so does anybody have or know where I can...

Take a hair dryer to it, not enough to move the paint(hi/lo setting or distance) just enough to help dry it.

I will have it done professionally the next time I have mine done. I did mine myself and it didn't come out as good as it should. If you try it keep in mind the side seams need to be straight when you get that far. Two people or more would help install is a plus.

Snake, this paint job has been a thorn since you had it done. I remember your original post from when I first started lurking around here about the paint. Hope you can get it solved.

Did it lift off the AF as well or just the Centari? If it lifted the AF then the problem probably lies there. What ever was laid down as a primer the first time isn't doing it's job. Especially after 3 years. JMO

I made a template that I will copy for those in need. It is made from construction grade paper and is copied from my hood. I will take a pic and post if interested. Just pay shipping which I will check into the best way. I am thinking rolled up in a piece of pvc might be best.?

You could wet sand that with 1500 or better and probably be OK, it depends on how much metallic is in there. Why are you waiting till tomorrow to clear?
