    Electric fan and shroud

I've been back and forth on electric fan for years... always just stuck with traditional belt driven fan. I have recently installed a clutch fan setup in which works really good. It would be my luck if I had a e-fan something would go wrong and I wouldn't be paying attention ... within no...

Car runs for a few seconds then dies

It could be a ton of things. Process of elimination is where I would start. Like hook the fuel pump to a line straight out of a gas can (use common since here). This will eliminate the gas tank being the problem if it still dies on you. Kind down those lines. Sounds fuel related.

    160 Thermostat

I wouldn't install a 160 in mine. The 160 doesn't let the coolant stay in the block long enough to absorb the heat. Long story but I have tried all three 160,180, and 195 and the 195 worked better than any of them on the keeping the temps down. I know....... its hard to believe. It ran better...

carter fuel pump made in korea?

My Dodger Ram had warped brake rotors with less than 45k miles. Other guys on a Dodge forum was having troubles with warped rotors also. So everyone agreed that the rotors Dodge was using just wasn't up to par. Where they was made no one knows. I went to NAPA and bought new set. Now I told the...

Starts then dies and leaks gas

Get yourself a trickle charger and hook it up while the car or truck sits for periods of time. I have one for my cuda, motorcycle, and lawn mower. One trickle charger that is... I just route it between vehicles. I got tired of replacing batteries. I would recommend sure enough to rebuild the...

    timing chain replacement

Well I have a good friend at work who has a VW and he is building one heck of a motor. He is doing things to that motor that will make it stronger, crank counter weights will be narrowed to a point and polished, way bigger pistons, and heads. I've left out a ton. I mean this thing is going to be...

has spark and fuel, wont start.

Sounds familiar to a problem I had. I took the mopar electronic ignition out and replaced it with a Accel ignition system. I had to discard the ballast. The car would run sometimes but then again it wouldn't crank. I had fire at the plugs when I checked it while turning it over but it would not...

    Rebuilt engine, bent push rods?

Sounds like the old sugar in the gas tank to me.... you haven't made anyone mad have you? j/k I don't have the slightest idea what it could be. Pictures say a thousand words. lol

    Rebuilt engine, bent push rods?

From standing on the outside looking in the builder of the motor should have checked coil bind, valve clearance, push rod length, etc... before he gave you the motor whether he installed it or you did. Ask him did he check the above mentioned?

Where do you buy your exhaust?

Meineke!!!! Y'all don't have any back woods muffler shops up there!! That is where you find the best exhaust installation gurus! lol Down here we have more than a few. One is a guy whose daughter was sick (cancer or something I can't remember) and was about to die. He asked God if He would...

Where do you buy your exhaust?

I bought my mufflers from Summit racing, took the car to my local muffler shop, they installed mufflers with X-pipe, down the road I went. There is always good muffler shops in the south! lol

Help leak between intake and exhaust

I'll more than likely get flamed but this works..... get a new set of gaskets, use the high temp RTV on the gaskets, torque to specs, clean around mating surfaces so no one will make fun of you. I've seen this done and it works.... works on leaky headers also. Don't need to whole lot.

    getting thermostat out

What size motor are we talking about.... slant six? The thermostat housing bolts (if broke off)on a small mopar wouldn't require removing the heads.

    Fuel Line Mod?

I believe you are talking about the Holley carbs that have one side of the bowls plugged off. If you remove the plugs and install a fuel block and aim it toward the rear of the vechicle. One side of the carb bowls is used for the fuel coming in .. the other side is returning to the tank. By...

YAAWWNNNN! :sleepy2: Boy I'm sleepy for some reason..... think I have to fart... and go take a nap. lol!
  28. mullinax95

Should it stay or should it go?

I'd definetly go with the 318 for sure. Keep the push buttons with right type transmission if you really want but once you get the feel of the 318 you more than likely would want something in the floor to shift it with. I don't know anything about the push button or how it works but I always...

    Fresh air breather

That hump you see in the bottom of the breather suppose to make the air swirl down in the carb. It might be a benefit.

    Fresh air breather

If you cut the air horn off the carb (loose the choke) and blend into the runners then open the hole up on the breather intake would it work then?
