Who didn't like turning on three units all manually back in the 80's... LOL One on the shifter, horn button and dimmer switch. Kept a person busy.

What's a WOT safety switch? Didn't have those either. Used to drive it with the throttle instead of on/offing a button. Too easy to notice a car dropping 100+ hp blipping the switch..

I did put the 100 shot of nitrous on my Duster, at Irwindale dragstrip, which is an 8th mile, the car went 7.22 at 93 miles an hour with a 1.53 60’.

I would strongly suggest that you wire in a NOS mini progressive (about $200), if anything for the RPM window switch capability. Add a WOT switch between the controller and the activation button for the kit and you will be good to go.
That's what my machinest said too
He said controller to dial back timing
He gappped my rings for it and said don't go crazy you will be fine.
Was also told run a dedicated pump from a small cell with high test fuel like 110 with lead to feed it.

My 2 plates for front and rear carbs of my Holley Cheater have small jets and work up. Has 3 levels of jets. Note) Center carb gets no plate, it gets spacer since you are only using it under WOT when the outboard are open.

I control timing with the MSD box. It is hard on the car to burnout and stage with 25 deg total advance. If you run 30 ish for a 150 shot it isnt too bad.

And to the naysayers on the progressive...what else has remote bottle pressure, delay adjustable window switches, etc. for that price? It's not about the progressive function. Its about simplicity in wiring and making sure bad things dont happen unexpectedly. Just one guys opinion : D (from 2023)

You’re kidding right? Most EGT thermocouples are too slow to be worth much.
Interesting comment. I have an EGT readout as part of a tuner on my diesel pickup, but I haven't paid attention to response speed. Next time I drive it, I will study.
I think that if I buy something as a tuning aid for my bracket car, an O2 sensor with some sort of recording capability would be more useful.

You won’t be able to see the response speed via a gauge. The gauge will have a much slower response time than the actual thermocouple will. Most of the aftermarket egt probes are in the 140 millisecond range.
