Drivers door internals installed. Good thing I had taken disassembly photos showing where these rods connected to the door latch mechanism!!!

I have my outside handles and locks figured out.
Your pics will help a lot with the inside door handle linkage orientation!
I have the service manual but those illustrations are usually tough to follow at best...
 
Last step was to spray some rustproofing in the pinch weld seam. Lots of different products, but this is the one I use.

Before you button it up, after you adjust the striker position be sure to adjust the latch. Most folks are not aware of this adjustment.

Agree that this can be an important adjustment. After assembling the passenger door, the door lock did not work to lock the door. Made a small adjustment and now it works!!
 
My polishing got interrupted somewhat. Had cataract surgery last week in one eye, so vision has been a bit blurry. (surgery went well).
Plus a car club member wanted the carb overhauled (another of my hobbies) on his '66 T-Bird, 390. Turns out it is the original carb. A Ford Autolite 4100 (480 cfm) It was flooding and secondaries were seized. (secondary diaphragm was torn so secondaries were not opening) Had to clean everything in my ultrasonic cleaner as it was pretty dirty inside and outside.
Just finished the polishing today on the window frame.

Wrong parts!!! The right side vent window glass was clear when I bought it. It should be tinted since this is an AC car. Years ago, I found a tinted one, but now when I'm ready to install, it turns out it is a left side vent window glass!!! (They have a different curve) Anyone have any suggested leads??

Started to assemble the drivers side window frame. Installed a new gasket ( not an easy job!) but it did not fit correctly at the top corner. Wrestled with it for a few hours but could not get the wrinkle out. Took it back out and back in again. Same result. My son is restoring a 1970 numbers matching Dart 340 4 speed and I got his gasket to try. It went in perfectly. Both were MMP WR2307. Something wrong with the gasket.

Got ready to install the flocked sealing strips on the trim piece on the back of the window glass and they are too short!! After checking online, others found the same problem. Sent an email to DMT.
Fortunately I kept the originals and they are in reasonable shape.

Found a NOS rear roll up seal for the passenger window since the original seal has little felt left on it. (2811622),. Also got the tinted glass for the passenger vent window.

Next was the slide seal at the front of the window. The Mopar seals are a universal seal and have to be cut to length and also have the hooles cut in them to match the 2 holes in the glass.

The stainless trim on the rear of the window was installed with the glass setting tape from DMT (who has the correct thickness) I used soapy water (on the outside of the tape, not the inside) and a dead weight hammer to get the strip on the glass. Once dry, it is firmly in place.

Did a trial fit of the vent glass frame and the door gap wasn’t wide enough!! Could not get the frame in. Gap wasn’t wide enough. 3/4” and needed about 7/8”.
No idea why the gap was too small. Both doors are non original. Measure 3 other doors we have and the gap varied from 15/16” to 1-1/8”. A big variation.
Had to use some “persuasion” to open up the gap.
My son helped me to get both installed today. Now comes days and days of work to get all the glass aligned.

Back at it again a couple of weeks ago. Spent many hours to get the rear window lined up at roof seal, then more hours to get the rear and front window on the drivers side lined up together so they would seal!!! Something else they probably do on the assembly line in 60 secs or less!!
Went to install the Top Catwiskers and found both too long. The clips on the outside one would not line up with the slots in the door. Had to cut about 1/8" off to get it to clip into place. The inner one was about 1/16" too long. More trimining.
Added a bit of extra soundproofing to the door over the cutouts. Plastic weather barrier will go on next.

Passenger door finished. Window glass alignment went much faster on this side. Minimal adjustment required.
Now I can finish the rear trim installation.
 
More problems. The inside cat wiskers for the rear windows are not formed correctly!! They cant be bent to fit because they will likely buckle. Fortunately I had another set from a different company in my parts stash that fit ok.
